    IF Authorized,check status in Modem. It should show connected and IP address allottedto modem

    IF Wrong password/VMAC mismatch, Update password or release VMACIF status DNP, check at CSMS & send e-mail to NOC if No. is RNP

    IF Number Inactive, check whether jumpering is done in correct port corresponding tocorrect server (Ericsson/Huawei)

    NO INTERNET BROWSING

    LAN Should be enabled

    Check if correct DNS as per system (Ericsson/Huawei) is being used

    DNS for Ericsson & Huawei:

    59.179.243.70 & 203.94.243.70

    Check LAN settings of browser under connections (There should be Noproxy) (Tools Internet options Connections LAN SettingsProxy Server)

    Internet explorer may have trouble.Try with Firefox Mozilla or otherbrowsers

    Check by pinging any site (StartRunping www.google.co.in)If pinging, OK, otherwise give command nslookup& then enter site name.It should resolve the IP address. If not, contact NOC for DNS problem

    Speed Problem

    Check BB plan from site (register.bol.net.infor Ericsson& register.mtnldelhi.infor Huawei) & check if port profileare as per plan

    Check Downstream rate & Upstream rate from Modem

    Check at MDF for speed & get port synchronized fromNOC (if needed)

    Delete cookies / Temporary internet files / Check RAM /Disable Firewall (Tools Internet Options DeleteCookies / Delete Files)

    Low speed could be due to spyware/viruses in PCLow speed could be due to low cable pair/highattenuation

    Speed is also affected by PC configuration.

    Particular site problem

    Check parameters in Modem:

    MTU = 1492

    MSS = 1360

    Check by pinging the site (ping

    www.yahoo.com). If pinging, but site not

    opening check browser settings

    If not pinging give command tracertand send result to BB unit
