Tile Selection Guide A diverging tile is used in applications requiring slow mixing, longer, wider flames. A converging tile is used for applications that require faster mixing and a more defined flame. The flame length and width are approximately 15% shorter and narrower than an equivalent burner equipped with the diverging tile.
