▪ The BBC World Service undergoing its biggest expansion since the 1940s

▪ This includes four new Indian services - Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi and Punjabi -

creating 157 new jobs in the region, and making Delhi the BBC’s largest bureau

outside the UK.

▪ Delhi will become a video production hub for the region

▪ The new language services will be digitally led - mobile first offerings with significant TV

and video output.
