BBFC post: BBFC: The British Board of Film Classification decides the age a person should be before they can see a particular film in the UK. To do this, they review the film’s content, the context it holds, and the tone of impact it will have on the audience. The BBFC looks at the amount of discrimination, drug use, horror/threat, imitable behaviour, language, nudity, sex, themes and violence within the film and the impact this could have on a particular audience, and then decide on the age rating of the film. Our film rating: I believe that we would give our film an age restriction of 15 as although there is no nudity, sex etc. There is a large amount of violence that could be imitable to a younger audience. Violence Strong Violence Language Moderate/Strong Language. Sex/Nudity No References to Sex and Nudity Themes Death, Murder, Violence, Romance. The violence in the opening is very strong so this will need to be considered. In one point of view shot, the killer will hit the ‘body’ (camera) with a shovel – this is one of the shots that contain both violence and imitable behaviour. There are also several shots of a body being dragged through the woods; the body also has bruising on her face. This may be disturbing to a younger audience as it portrays violence.

The British Board of Film Classification decides the age a person should be before they can see a particular film in the UK.

Our film rating:

I believe that we would give our film an age restriction of 15 as although there is no nudity, sex etc. There is a large amount of violence that could be imitable to a younger audience.
