WHAT IS THE FINAL MILE?The Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile is designed to teach kids the importance of exercise and commitment. Through Operation Smile, they also learn the value of giving to others. Students ages 6 to 12 can participate and it’s easy! Run 25.2 miles before race day, just a few miles a week! Then students come together on March 16, 2019 to run their “final mile” to complete a marathon at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Students can log miles in PE class, running club, or with friends and family after school! So come on, run for a great cause, get fit, and let’s help someone else along the way!

There are two ways to turn in your Smile Tracker and donations: You can bring it to Operation Smile Global Headquarters, which is located at 3641 Faculty Blvd. in Virginia Beach, or you can drop it all off at the Operation Smile booth when you pick up your Final Mile running bib at the Shamrock Expo. The first 400 students who raise $262 will receive an official Smile Hero cape to wear in the big race! Capes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
WHAT IS A SMILE HERO?This year’s Final Mile theme is “Be a Smile Hero!” Being a hero means many things including showing kindness to your family, in your school and in your world. The first 400 students who raise $262 by going the EXTRA MILE, will receive their very own SMILE HERO CAPE to wear in the Final Mile race! Participants can encourage their friends and family members to support them by making donations on this Smile Tracker or on the Operation Smile Shamrock Final Milewebsite: www.operationsmile.org/finalmile
Use ths Smile Tracker to keep a record of your supporters and howmuch they will sponsor you for each mile you run!
