Golden Rules Our focus Golden Rule next week will be: Be Safe Learning Behaviours Our focus Learning Behaviour next week will be: Perseverance Pegasus 95.8% Good Caterpillars 94.4% Good Narwhals 95.8% Good Dolphins 96.8% Good Parrots 97.0% Very Good Langse Junior Rangers Programme to start May 2019 The Peak District Naonal Park Ranger Service will soon be starng a Junior Rangers programme based at Langse Barn. Junior Rangers are young people aged 11 to 18 with an interest in the outdoor environment. They work alongside the Naonal Park Rangers and the Engagement Team to help look aſter the Peak District Naonal Park. The Junior Ranger programme operates across Europe and our groups are affiliated to the Europarc Federaon. A taster day is being run free of charge at Langse Barn on Saturday 16 th March 2019 for those interested. More informaon from [email protected] and at www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/learning-about/junior-rangers . Welcome back everyone. I hope you have had all a wonderful half term break The warm weather has taken all of us by surprise so please can I remind parents about water boles for the children so they always have access to a drink whilst in school. Can I also remind parents that children need to wear school uniform as we have a few older children wearing inappropriate trousers currently. Important Test Dates for the children Year 2 SATs will take place throughout the month of May. All the children will be taking part in their assessments during May. Langsett Junior Rangers Programme to start May 2019

Our Amazing Award Winners

Congratulations to this week’s award winners. The children have proven that they can meet our Golden Rule, to Be Kind and Sensible and have exercised their having Reciprocity learning muscle. Well done everyone!! We also celebrated the success of the children who received their reading award for climbing the steps.

Tuesday 12th March—Pegasus school trip to The Deep in Hull

Wednesday 13th March– FS2 and KS1 SHINE event (Pegasus and Caterpillars) - Parent Workshop at 1:30pm

Thursday 7th March—World Book Day. The children can bring a book from home and can dress up as a book character if they wish to on this date. The whole day will be dedicated to the love of books and the children will be partaking in lots of fun things to support this event.

Friday 15th March - Comic Relief—the children can come to school wearing anything funny (non uniform and do-nation please)

Tuesday 19th March– Caterpillars Assembly for parents at 2:45pm
