WILD COASTPondo Trail
The Wild Coast is a place one comes to reflect and refresh.
A place where you will be humbled, feel privileged
and be reminded of what truly is important in life!
TheIn today’s chaotic world, cluttered by messaging, technology, traffic and deadlines, we often neglect the fundamental principles of proactive strategy, relationships and creativity in a volatile corporate world, and often get tied up in the horrible game of catch up.
An old, wise man once offered his advice to a young woodchuck, ”In order to chop your trees better son, you should stop, rest and sharpen your axe’. To which he replied, “I don’t have the time sir”.
What better way to sharpen your axe than a forced digital detox in wide open spaces with the luxury of silence and solitude with nature, to re-establish clear perspective and focus.
Wild Child Africa offers a four-day trail along the most beautifully rugged and unspoiled coastline on earth.
Each day is professionally guided to ensure the safety of the group and a genuine Pondoland
experience. Harvesting oysters and mussels off the rocks, making bread, collecting berries, diving for crayfish and catching that elusive Kabeljou are some of the experiences that can be enjoyed. The rich Pondo culture and history will also be shared, together with many wonderful tales of adventure, shipwrecks and survival that have taken place on this coastline.
The Wild Coast moves at its own pace and it is essential to take the time to appreciate its unique microclimate and the many endemic plants, animals and birds that occur in this region. Time will rather be governed by the tides and the numerous river crossings along the way.
This unique coastline is too fragile to sustain high density tourism. Therefore, the Pondo Trail is an exclusive, high-end product with a low environmental impact that strives to educate the fortunate few who grace its shores. May they realise its inner beauty and endeavour to preserve its future.
