In order to become a member of the Envirothon Team, a stu-dent needed to sign up for the Envirothon study sessions at the beginning of the school year. A study session was scheduled one day out of each month. (Unfor-tunately, this year, we had snow days or early dismissals on all but two of our study session days). The students are also expected to help with the recycling program

in our school. Since we are only able to compete with two teams of five students, a test was given on Friday, March 13th. About fif-teen students took the test, which included questions on wildlife, aquatics, soils, forestry, and this year’s current issue, biodiversity. The students who scored the ten highest scores made the team. Two alternates were also chosen.
