Beaune 1er Cru Cuvée Rousseau-Deslandes Domaine des Hospices de Beaune STORY OF THE CUVÉE In 1645, Antoine Rousseau and Barbe Deslandes founded the Hôpital de la Sainte-Trinité, later known as the Hospice de la Charité. It was joined to the Hôtel-Dieu to form the Hospices de Beaune at the time of the Revolution. Its rôle has evolved with time. Initially, it welcomed orphans aſter plague epidemics; today it is an old people’s home. TERROIRS & DESCRIPTION Les Cent Vignes with the majority of its vines dating between 1944 and 1958 is at the heart of this Cuvée (48% of the plantings). Close to Pommard, Les Montrevenots represents a third of the Cuvée, with all its vines planted prior to 1966. ABOUT THE WEBSITE HOSPICES-BEAUNE.COM e website www.hospices-beaune.com was founded in 2009 par Maison Albert Bichot, a family-owned wine house foun- ded in 1831. For the last 15 years, Albert Bichot has been the number 1 buyer at the Hospices de Beaune wine auction, a proof of the commitment of the house for the wines of this very special domaine and its expertise in their ageing process, a true savoir- faire recognized by our clients throughout the world. On a daily basis, Jean-David CAMUS takes care of this website.
