Hey Beautiful,

My heart is full when I consider that we have been entrusted to do this beautiful journey together! Whether you have been with us from the beginning or are joining us for the first time, this is your personal invitation to what has become a movement of girls from all ages and walks of life. Gathered from near and far, together we find strength and purpose to change our world.

I believe God has already written BRAVE into the narrative of your story, and our prayer is that this weekend will become a bold, beautiful echo of courage that reverberates as we each rise up to be who God lovingly created us to be!

So go ahead and clear your schedules, invite your girlfriends, and get ready for one incredible weekend. We cannot wait to see you!

marilyn skinnerMarilyn Skinner is the vibrant and energetic wife of Gary Skinner and together they give leadership to Watoto Church, a community church in Kampala, Uganda. Over 20,000 people gather weekly to celebrate the life and hope in Jesus Christ. Marilyn and her husband Gary founded Watoto Child Care Ministries, an International Organization in 1994 in response to the plight of Africa’s millions of children orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS. Drawing from her deep and tested faith, Marilyn passionately encourages women globally to stand up against inhumane practices such as human trafficking, child soldiers, HIV/AIDS stigmatization and all forms of injustice. Through her inspiration, women from all walks of life and faith are mobilized to work together to make this world a better place.

be the love awardSeeing women rise up and BE the change in their worlds is

the heart of Beautiful You. Each year at Conference, we honor

women who display courage and determination, many times

in spite of personal adversity and needs.

This year we will celebrate women who demonstrate bravery,

who boldly make positive changes in their communities.

Women who have decided to rise above fear and the

“what-ifs” and the “I’m not enoughs” to impact their family,

workplace or community.

We invite you to nominate that special woman who has

exemplified courage and audacious generosity. The

recipients of this recognition will be announced at the

Conference, where they will be honored from the stage, along

with receiving a free registration and a special gift for their

contributions to the community.

Be brave. Nominate that inspiring woman in YOUR world.

To nominate go to www.bymovement.com

put your big girl panties onSometimes, being brave simply means showing up. Together, we have an opportunity to

help our sisters in Northern Uganda as well as in our local community.

In Uganda, one barrier that often keeps young girls from going to school is once they start

their periods, they are too embarrassed to attend class without clean underwear and sanitary

pads. Through Watoto’s special project -- Keep a Girl in School [KAGIS] -- we can help.

Locally, we are working with the Children’s Playtime Project to also provide new underwear to

the young girls living at the DC General Homeless Shelter, DC’s largest shelter.

We invite you to partner with us and bring clean, new underwear to Conference 2015. We will

be providing both organizations with girls’ underwear for ages 7- 16.

Each one of us, together, can change the world. As a collective sisterhood, locally

and across the globe, WE can make a difference.
