BEAUTY AND THE BEAST KIND MAN

( a brief analysis by Galih )

**Introduction

Beauty, one of the famous fairy tales , are familiar to many people especially

children. It is the story of a responsible girl. When her father make a mistake that

cause of she, she succesded his father to amuse the punishment from the Beast. And

finally she get a miracle, she married with a handsome prince.

I would like to write about the responsible and beautiful girl. I think being a

responsible is not easy, need a big bravery. And just some people can do that. But in

this story I was surprise because beauty can do that. Beauty willing live with a Beast

to save her father.

**The Story

Once upon the time there was a beautiful girl, everybody called “beauty”. Beauty

lived with her father and her sisters and brothers in a small cottage deep in the woods.

One day, word came that someone had left a great amount of money to the father.

Before the father left to claim his fortune, he asked each of the children what he

might bring them from the city. The children ask jewel, shirt and coat, some pearls,

and silk dresses. But Beauty just asked a rose. After that the father left them, on the

way he found a castle and he entered the castle but the castle is empty. The father rest

in the castle. And then he saw a garden and picked one rose to take to beauty.

Suddenly behind him, he heard amost frightening roar. He saw Beast was very angry.

Beast ask to the father to bring her daughter. And then Beauty went to the castle and

lived with the Beast. Finally the Beast change a handsome prince and married with

Beauty.

**The Generic Structure

Orientation :

Setting of time : once upon a time, a long time ago, morning, day, night,

evening.

Setting of place : castle, small cottage, garden, Beauty’s house.

Characters

1. Beauty : beautiful girl, and very kind girl who must lived with the Beast.

2. The Beast : very kind, and patient prince who cursed.

3. Beauty’s father : very kind father who be love his children.

4. Beauty’s brothers and sisters : egoist, bad sister and greedy.

Complication

The crisis in the story are more than one crisis. The first crisis is as the father had

promise with the Beast. The second one is when Beauty must lived with the Beast

and must left her family. And the climax of the story is when Beauty found the Beast

lying in the cave nearly dead.

Resolution

The resolution of the story is when the Beast nearly dead, Beauty said that she does

love him and would marry with him. And then the Beast was not longer there. It was

the handsome prince of Beauty’s dreams. Finally beauty married with the prince and

live happly ever.

**The analysis : Beauty, the beautiful girl

Beauty, the responsible girl who must live with the beast, because she felt guilty

about asking for a rose to her father who finally brought her father to the anger Beast.

As we know from the beginning Beauty is a kind girl who always cared for others,

which ultimately led to her misfortune. When Beauty’s brothers and sisters blame,

Beauty remain patient.

On the day that the father had to bring Beauty to the beast coming. The father is very

concerned about Beauty but he can not do anything. Finally her father had left Beauty

in the beast's castle. After her father came home, Beauty crying for hours. Then she

fell asleep in his sleep she dreamed of a prince came to comfort her.

Because the beauty of courage to be responsible, she gets fortune that never occurred

to her before it beauty never thought that the prince who is in her dream is Beast.

Finally, Beast freed from the curse and return to being a prince. And in the end they

get married and live happily ever after.

If we want to be a responsible person and dare to take risks, one day we will get a

reward of courage that we have done is dare to be responsible. Beauty is the right

example.
