The Maastricht Academy of Music has set up the Conservatorium Maastricht Foundation (CMf) along with a number of music lovers in order to raise funds to support talented students at the Academy who find themselves in financial difficulty.

FinancesThe funds available to the CMf mean that it can provide a limited number of talented students with financial aid to help them offset their study costs, the purchase of an instrument, or attendance at master classes and competitions in the Netherlands and abroad. Aid is only provided, of course, if the students concerned do not already have sufficient financial resources.

Applications and selectionStudents who wish to apply for financial aid from the CMf must fill in the appropriate application form. This can be downloaded from the Academy’s website. It must be submitted to Mr Frans Hendrikx (administration department) before 1 November! There are four important points for applicants to note:

1. Have you already been enrolled at the Academy for one year, and what academic results have you achieved? (include your Osiris printout).

2. What is your personal financial situation? (Provide an overview of your income and expenditure).

3. Which leading musicians can recommend you? (Provide at least two letters of recommendation from two different musicians).

4. What important competitions/festivals/concerts etc. have you taken part in? (Provide a list; in the case of competitions, state the results).

Your application will be assessed in November by an external committee made up of musicians and chaired by the Dean of the Academy. You will be informed of the result in December. The result is not open to appeal!

As you know, the Maastricht Academy of Music has many talented students, meaning that applicants cannot expect to receive financial aid from the CMf automatically.

The CMf Committee requests you to fill in this form – completely and correctly – and to hand it in to the financial department (Main Building) for the attention of Mr Frans Hendriks before 1 November. You can do this at any point during the year. Your application will be considered in November. If you receive student financial aid, it will be for one year in each case. Incomplete forms cannot be processed.
