The project is generally de-scribed as follows:

The work shall consist of fur-nishing all labor, equipment and materials and performing all work necessary for the project. The filters should have the ca-pacity of filtering 648 gpm. The tanks should be no less than 42 inch inside diameter and 96 inch-es long. It should have an approx-imate rated working pressure of 75 psig. The headers should be fabricated of 80 pvc and distribu-tors and headers threaded and replaceable. The laterals should be at least 2 3/8 inch diameter by 10 inches long. City of Union will remove current filter.

The Contractor and all sub-contractors will be required to comply with all applicable State Regulations including Equal Em-ployment Opportunities, Non-segregated Facilities, Prevail-ing Wage Rates and Affirmative Action Requirements, and all other work incidental thereto as described in the Contract Docu-ments. Any person signing a contract to work on the construc-tion of public works for any pub-lic body shall provide a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) con-struction safety program for their on-site employees which includes a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA or a similar program approved by the department which is at least as stringent as an approved OSHA program. All employees are required to complete the pro-gram within sixty days of begin-ning work on such construction project.
