Business leader of successful organisationsHis impressive career began at McKinsey in the US, as one of the youngest partners. Once back in the Netherlands, Ruud was on the executive board of the Volmac Software Group and was chief executive officer at RAET.
Successful serial entrepreneurAs a successful serial entrepreneur, Ruud has made a name for himself as founder and CEO of Silvac (sold to RAET in 1992), Planet Internet (sold to KPN in 1996) and Park-line and Parkmobile (sold to BMW in 2016).
Impact investor with proven track recordFrom 1999 to 2016, Ruud was chairman of Net Ventures and Merestes Capital, two international investment funds for high-tech companies.In collaboration with his team, he invested over two billion euro in technology companies worldwide.Together with Elon Musk, Ruud is still involved as an investor in two companies in Israel and Silicon Valley in the renewable energy sector.
Ruud Veltenaar studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and at Columbia University in New York. He also obtained his MBA at Harvard Business School.
