B U I L D I N G A S T R O N G E R S C I E N C E P R O G R A M• The science assessment data makes it clear that we need to improve our

curriculum, materials, and teacher training in science education.

• In 2015-2016: ๏ We hired a new Supervisor of Science ๏ We began a significant revision of the Science curricula to correspond

to new science educational standards. ๏ We identified a provider to update our science kit materials

• In 2016-2017 the NJDOE adjusted the test items to better reflect the Next Generation Science Standards

• In 2017-2018 the NJDOE is using a new assessment, and will change the grades that the assessment is offered
