b) Apiaries having 10 hives or less, all hives shall be inspected.

c) 100% of the hives may be inspected if appropriate.

1) All honey bees, honey, and visible signs of AFB must be removed and destroyed.

2) Under the direct supervision of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Equipment shall be treated in a manner approved.

1) Florida resident owners of colonies destroyed due to infection with AFB will be compensated if funds are available not to exceed $30.00

2) Owners shall not be awarded compensation for depopulation due to the presence of honey bee pests or unwanted races of honey bees.

• Intrastate Movement. Prohibited unless having a Florida Certificate of Inspection.

• Each beekeeper must have his/her registration number permanently brand or adhere on the upper left hand corner of the hive bodies in letters at least ½ inch in height.
