Bee Natural Uganda is an expansion process and therefore has openings for various positions detailed below: Vacancy Details MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To market Bee Natural’s products, provide public relations to internal and external clients, drive and draw business volumes and revenue generation whilst maintaining good customer service quality. JOB SUMMARY 1) Develop marketing and sales strategy, and activity plans annually. 2) Prepare and monitor the department’s budget. 3) Promote BNU brand. 4) Carry out market research. 5) Carry out consumer surveys on a monthly basis. 6) Carry out promotions and advertising. 7) Handle public relations. 8) Updating and providing information for the website. 9) Represent BNU at trade fairs, Associations and other functions. 10) Develop pricing structures and payment options 11) Liaise with distributors to ensure efficient product distribution 12) Training staff in product knowledge and customer care. 13) Assess and identify training. 14) Prepare monthly marketing and sales reports for management. 15) Approve and prepare adverts and develop standard formats. 17) Supervise and manage staff in the department. 18) Prepare objectives and targets for departmental staff. OUTPUTS Ensure marketing materials are aligned with all brand and company objectives. Customer service policy framework Brand Policy framework Have knowledge on existing services to ensure best brand representation. BNU branding and related marketing materials developed and distributed Quarterly and annual reports on marketing activities produced and disseminated Media relationships well-coordinated. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing or any other related field. Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditation or Post graduate qualification in Marketing Experience: 5 years’ experience in marketing, branding and consumer related service experience. Competences: Demonstrated experience in design and execution of marketing, communication and public relations activities. Experience in developing and managing budgets Experience in managing research processes Strong communication skills, in written, presentation, oral communications and interpersonal skills. Possess strong leadership skills. Ability to think creatively and strategically. Proven track record of honesty and integrity Analytical skills. Knowledge of performance and sustainability reporting Consumer focused Business understanding Good managerial/supervisory skills Good interpersonal skills JOB DESCRIPTION To provide overall leadership and management of the Arua office, oversee the production and field functions, and take responsibility for the overall coordination of regional activities and partnerships DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Prepare and monitor implementation of departments’ work plans. 2) Develop and implement operations budgets 3) Monitor performance through supervision on a daily basis. 4) Set production targets with the Production supervisor, CEO Marketing and Brand Manager and Finance Manager on an annual basis. 5) Establish and maintain a good working relationship between BNU, the public and stakeholders. 6) Participate in regular District activities such as exhibitions. 7) Ensure safety for both equipment and people working in the Operations department 8) Implement recommendations/issues arising out of Audit reports by UBOS, and financial audits. 9) Coordinate with the Production supervisor and carryout regular drills, authorize repairs and servicing of machinery within budget limits 10) Coordination of plant visits by the public 11) Formulate and obtain management approval for sales activities of BNU products. 12) Plan for adequate manpower with the right competencies. 13) Conduct departmental meetings weekly . 14) Mentor and Coach Staff in Factory Operations department as per job requirements 15) Conduct training needs assessment for staff in Operations department and recommend relevant training 16) Administer human resource policies as per the HR handbook. EXPECTED OUTPUT Preparation and submission of budgets, work plans Preparation and submission of weekly updates of activities, Nurture Healthy relationships with the District and farmers. Analytical and problem –solving skills Strategic thinking skills MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure standard quality of all the products, processes and that the quality of the honey and other products supplied and packaged conform to the Uganda Bureau of Standards and International Standards requirements. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Draw up production schedules weekly/monthly; 2) Ensure products are processed on time and are of good quality and correct measures; 3) Monitor product standards and implement quality- control programmes; 4) Generate honey and wax production reports as required by Management. 5) Work with the Operations manager to implement the company’s policies and goals; 6) Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed; 7) Supervise and motivate a team of workers under production; 8) Carry out sampling and analysis of product samples for process control and quality monitoring. 9) Ensure proper management of the Laboratory; in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Housekeeping practices 10) Ensure regular and proper maintenance of process system. 11) Participate in all company safety training and audits as required. 12) Respond appropriately to internal auditors and external inspectors. 13) Assist in writing, reviewing, and commenting on technical documents. 14) Preparation of periodic reports and summaries of all data collected and making recommendations for appropriate action. 15) Prepare all the necessary quality documentation as required by UNBS 16) Prepare and carry out annual quality audit 17) Send periodic samples for quality tests as per quality requirements 18) Maintain hygiene at the factory both for staff and plant 19) Ensure staff compliance with food handling procedures 21) Ensure traceability of the products. 22) Any other duty assigned by the supervisor EXPECTED OUTPUT Sampling and testing of honey samples done Standard Operating Procedures and Goood House keeping. Periodic flushing of the honey processing plant equipment. Responding to technical audit queries. Reports for quality improvement to management Qualification: Science Degree in Laboratory Technology (Chemistry/ Bio- Chemistry/Microbiology)/Food Science/ Environmental management/Apiculture Experience: Work experience of at least 5 years in a busy environment and or work experience in quality control especially in honey. Competences Computer knowledge Analytical skills Process-oriented Highly organized and detail-oriented, Problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
