    Gilad Harel on a Musical Voyage - A magical performance telling the touching story of Eastern European Jewry and its rich culture from the 19th century until today, through the story of the Klezmer, the wandering Jewish musician.

    The wonderful soundtrack combines live music and historical and computerized recordings, creating a fascinating encounter between past and present. The show was very successful in Europe and is now appearing for a premiere performance with local musicians in Israel.

    Memorializing the Holocaust has changed over the last decades, switching from the overall collective story, to the individual and localized expression. The change is visible on memorials, sculptures, road signs and even in museum design in Israel and Germany, in which the individual story now takes center stage.

    Does the individual perspective make the Holocaust more immediate or does it hide it? And what does it say about the way we remember it?
