Beit Canada / Ulpan Etzion Campus, Jerusalem

Located in southern Jerusalem, the Beit Canada Absorption Center/Ulpan Etzion Campus is a unique fi rst home for immigrant young adults from around the world. It is here that young singles and professionals develop their new social network and receive critical guidance through every step of the absorption process.

Recently, the renowned Ulpan Etzion re-launched at Beit Canada, tripling the program’s capacity from 80 to 230 students. For decades, Ulpan Etzion has assisted thousands of single, college-educated olim, age 22-35, to acclimate to their new life in Israel. During the 5-month program, participants live on campus and go through intensive Hebrew study in one of the best ulpan programs in Israel. They participate in a broad range of cultural and social activities, seminars, fi eld trips, lectures and holiday celebrations.

Beit Canada is also home to many of the participants in the new English Teacher’s Program. This one-year program trains English-speaking academics for the high demand English teaching profession. While at Ulpan Etzion they learn Hebrew, go through a teacher training course and receive an Israeli teaching certifi cate. Upon completion they receive assistance in fi nding jobs in Israeli schools.

The Taka program at Beit Canada off ers a comprehensive academic preparatory program for new immigrants, age 19-27, who have completed at least one year of college and wish to continue their higher education in Israel.

Thousands of young people around the world choose to build a future in Israel on their own. At Beit Canada they fi nd a warm and welcoming home, and a stimulating cultural and spiritual environment in the heart of Jerusalem.
