• Dat hangt samen met het gegeven dat Du i.t.t. Ned. niet heeft gekozen voor fiscale instrumenten.
• Du werkt dus nog met allerlei innovatieprogramma's -ook voor het MKB - die heel dicht bij de markt zitten.
• Het gaat dan om het ontwikkelen van prototypen, demonstratiemodellen tot het bouwen van hele proeffabrieken

• SBIR (zie http://www.sbir.gov/), waar direct voor feasibility en demonstratie/ontwikkeling bij vooral MKB veel geld beschikbaar is.
• Het gaat daarbij dus wel om ontwikkeling van publiek gefinancierde projecten, niet projecten die privaat gefinancierd zijn ontwikkeld
• En over het algemeen over onderwerpen die van algemeen belang zijn (overheidsaanschaffingen, klimaat, Homeland Security gerelateerd, transportveiligheid, gezondheidszorg, etc).
• Farm Bill (Agricultural Act of 2014) e.e.a. mogelijk voor het demonstreren/opschalen van renewable chemicals

Onderzoeksagenda BBEDoel (uit brief EZ): ‘Een ambitieus en meerjarig publiek-privaat programma biobased economy. Met een dergelijk programma zijn wij op nationaal en internationaal niveau een goede gesprekspartner en kunnen we massa gaan maken op het terrein van de biobased economy. Ik verzoek u dan ook een gezamenlijk meerjarig publiek–privaat programma voor de komende 8 tot 12 jaar in te richten samen met bedrijfsleven, de kennisinstellingen (DLO, ECN, TNO), en NWO. Wij zullen er op toezien dat de meest betrokken Topsectoren Agri&Food, Chemie, Energie hier goed bij betrokken worden, zodat cross overs optimaal benut kunnen worden.’

Doelgroep:Participatiefondsen
• Lening van maximaal 4 miljoen aan fondsen: verhoging van het rendement en verlaging van het risico op participaties
• Ieder fonds hanteert eigen strategie en specifieke criteria waaraan de technostarter moet voldoen
De fondsmanager bepaalt in welke technostarter het fonds investeert
