It’s my conclusion.

When it comes to clothing, no item is more American than a pair of blue jeans. They were invented in 1873 by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss, and they turned denim, thread and a little metal into the most popular clothing product in the world. Statistically, every American owns, on average, 7 pairs of blue jeans. Approximately 450 million pairs of jeans are sold in the United States every year. Though blue jeans started out as work overalls, today they are worn to college, parties, sporting events, and even weddings. It's difficult to find a garment as widely embraced, worn, and loved by Americans as blue jeans.
