the right venue for an event as momentous and

special as a wedding day! Should a couple desire to

host their wedding on campus, we will strive to best meet their needs

and provide them with a location and service that will be equally as

stress-free as it will be memorable. We welcome the opportunity to

help coordinate and witness such an event that symbolizes before

God, family and friends the union of two individuals. We will work

with wedding clients to put together a package that best fits the

vision for their big day!

The Janet Ayers Academic CenterThe Janet Ayers Academic Center on Belmont University’s

campus opened its doors in August 2014. Located on the

corner of Wedgewood and 15th Avenues near Nashville’s

acclaimed Music Row, this 186,000 square foot structure houses a

myriad of academic programs, 430 underground parking spots

and a state-of-the-art chapel facility on the ground floor.

The ChapelThe first-ever intentionally designed chapel in the history of the

university, this ecumenical Christian sanctuary boasts a grand

space and prime location for events of all types, including wedding

ceremonies. The impressive two-story layout includes arched, double

height clear glass windows on the exterior that are mirrored on the

interior and are veiled by a layer of art glass. The art glass includes the

motif of three crosses and creates a sanctuary experience filled with

both breathtaking beauty and peaceful stillness. An art glass rosette

provides the focal point for the front of the Chapel. Wrought iron

chandeliers help illuminate the space, which is also equipped with

state-of-the-art audio visual capabilities that are fully integrated into

the design so that the Chapel can be a multi-functional venue.

A grand curved staircase descends into the Chapel lobby, creating

an elegant yet ideal space for welcoming and appropriately directing

guests. Dressing rooms for the bride, groom and bridal party are

conveniently located in the eastern corner of the ground floor, just

off the lobby, providing both privacy and easy access to the Chapel

entrance. Ample parking is available underneath the building for

guests, with elevator access to just outside the Chapel and all

floors of the Janet Ayers Academic Center.

These features combine to create an environment that needs little

additional decoration and allows the most important focus to be on

the special couple. The Chapel is an ideal space for couples wishing

to host their wedding ceremony in a church-like chapel space.

Anyone is eligible to book the Chapel for weddings, including

current students, faculty, staff, alumni and members

of the community-at-large.
