Welcome to the wonderful season of AUTUMN! My very favorite season! I absolutely love the smells that come with this season as they’re unlike no other. Just yesterday, as I was doing the chore of grocery shopping, I was walking through the aisle where water is sold. On a shelf next to the large water containers, someone had placed a bag of cinnamon pinecones. A child had more than likely picked the bag up unbeknownst to the parents. As I walked through, the smell coming from this bag stopped me from moving forward. It may have been over 90 degrees outside, but for that moment, I was seated in front of the fireplace, reading a book with a hot cup of tea! I would like to pass on a quote by Stanley Horowitz: “Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.” Please embrace this season, and most important, do not let the political rhetoric that comes at the same time shade the beautiful fall colors! Have a wonderful October! Mary Jane New Resident Welcome Tea In addition to the Welcome Teas, New Residents will be invited to the Welcome Luncheon Table Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. Managers, resident ambassadors and new residents will be invited!
