Academics can be a tough thing to keep up during college with all the fun and exciting things going on. Good thing greek orga-nizations have incentives to make this problem less likely to hap-pen!

With any organization the mixers, formals, pageants, and phi-lanthropy weeks are going to happen with or without you. Most people want to be apart of these functions. With that being said keeping up your grades is a large part of going to these events.

A few incentives to stay on top of your studies: - dances - awards - being on good standing - socializing

A few things that help you do this: - study hours - study groups - academic binder (old tests)

Being in a sorotity or fraternity gives you the chance to give back to your community.

Through out the several chances each se-mester it is not very difficult. Most organi-zations require a certain amount of service hours each semester.

In addition to this you get to hangout with your friends. There are many events that al-low you to have fun with your friends without realizing you are helping out others.

Some of the events may include: - sports games - all nighter with live music and shows - pageants - carnivals - dancing events

Opportunities

Many doors open when you involve yourself in an organization such as a sorority or fraternity.

Jobs as small as working a weekend event to as big as starting your career can all be achieved by networking with friends that your make in these organizations. Internships can be easily accessible when you have a friend who previously held the position.

Although this can be valuable during college once your friends gradu-ate the all move to seperate places. This another big opportunity to get a job in the real world. These friends already have experience and can easily help you find a job or give you tips on how to land the posi-tion you are seeking.
