Bennachie is a fine Victorian town house, constructed of stone under a slate roof and is built on 2½ storeys. The house enjoys a large private garden with outbuildings and double garage. All rooms have been upgraded and finished to an excellent standard.

The village, which has recently been by-passed on the northern side, provides a wide variety of facilities including; health centre, convenience stores, bank, post office, hotels, cafe and garden centre. The local area is well known for its outdoor activities including over 10 golf courses within 15 miles of the village. The River Spey provides excellent fishing and for walkers the Speyside Way and the Oxhill Walk are within easy reach. The River Spey, which flows through Fochabers is world famous for its salmon fishing and is only a short walk from the property. The Speyside Way long distance path, can be picked up in the village and there are excellent facilities for mountain biking in the extensive Forestry Commission woodlands surrounding the village.
