Welcome Visitors - and Season’s Greetings!Christmas and New Year are here once again and Bequia is
ready to give you the best holiday you ever had! Delicious special menus, lots of day and night-time activities plus a wide choice of musical entertainment are all on offer to make your celebrations truly memorable.
For your last-minute Christmas shopping, most stores will be open till the end of the day on Monday 24th - see page 6 for more details. Remember however, that although the banks will be open until noon on Monday 24th, they will be extremely crowded, so be sensible and don't leave it to the last minute to change money or make withdrawals!
Christmas Day Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th December are Public Holidays, but some grocery stores and boutiques will be open for at least part of the day on the 26th . Check out the list on page 6 for grocery store opening times.
Looking ahead to the 31st, New Year’s Eve is known in Bequia as “Old Year’s Night” and the arrival of the New
Year is celebrated as enthusiastically here as anywhere in the world. Many restaurants offer special festive dinners, sometimes with two sittings so you can choose where you want to be when midnight strikes. Just remember to reserve early though as places fill up very fast!
Bequia’s spectacular New Year's Eve firework display - made possible through the generosity of Bequia businesses and private individuals - will burst over the harbour on the stroke of midnight. The show should be visible from all waterfront locations and surrounding areas. Don't miss it!
Details of most New Year’s Eve events will be in the Special New Year of Bequia This Week, available from the Tourism Office and other outlets from Friday 28th December.
So we hope you have a wonderful time in Bequia. You are, quite simply, on the best little island in the world.

Please note that on Monday 24th and Monday 31st December, both The Bank of SVG (Back Street) and RBTT will close at noon. You are advised not to leave your banking till the last minute.ATMs at both banks should be in operation through-

Holiday Ferry Times No Ferries will be running to or from St. Vincent
on Christmas Day (Tues 25th December). The Bequia Express & Admiral ferries will both be running their normal Sunday schedules on Wed 26th (Boxing Day), and New Year's Day. Please re-confirm with the ferry companies directly if ferry times are critical to your onward journey.
