1. Wash yourhands usingsoap prior tobeginningfilter
construction.
2. Lay one (1)bucket on itsside.
3. Approximately
1.5 inchesabove the
bottom of thebucket, drillone (1) 1 - inchdiameter hole.

6. Push thespigot withwasherattachedthrough the
hole drilled inStep 3.
7. Place arubberwasher on the
spigot frominside thebucket.
8. Using plierstighten thespigo t to thebucket with anut. This withhave to be avery tight fit tocreate a watertight joint.

Now we are going to begin working with the other bucket
9. Place theunused other
bucket on topof one (1) lidwhich shouldbe a cleansurface.
10. T o one side of
the bucketcenter drillone (1) ½ -
inch diameterhole throughthe bottom ofthe bucketmarking thelocation onthe bucket lid
with the drill.
11. In the locationthat wasmarked inStep 10 drillone (1) ½ -
inch diameterhole in thebucket lid.

12. Replace thebucket on topof the lid andplace a ½ -
inch diameter
bolt throughthe holesdrilled inSteps 10 and11.
13. To the otherside of thebucket
bottom, drill asecond ½ -
inch diameterhole in thebucketmarking thelocation onthe bucket lid
with t he drill.
14. Remove the½- inchdiameter boltseparatingthe bucketfrom the lid.

15. Drill a second½- inchdiameter holein the bucketlid where
market inStep 13.
16. To smooththe edges ofthe four (4)
holes drilledin Steps10,11,13, and15 removethe excessplastic using aknife.
17. Wash yourhands usingsoap prior totouching theclean plasticends of theceramic filtersin Steps 18 to22.
18. Place arubberwasher on theend of oneceramic filter.

19. Gently pushthe filterthrough oneof the holesdr illed through
bucket bottomand bucket
lid.
20. Tighten thefilter to thebucket lidusing a wing
nut.
21. Repeat Steps9 to 11 with
secondceramic filter.
