Berthiez RVU vertical grinding machines are especially suitable for high-precision grinding applications e.g. in the bearing or aerospace industry, where extreme high accuracy is required.

The machine is equipped with one to four water cooled spindles with power of 45 kW and a speed being able to go up to 18,000 rpm (according to the type of grinding wheels used).The design ensures a complete machining process without interruption integrating options of dressing devices, wheel changer, part probe, hard turning, etc.

The manufacturing quality of the hydrostatic bearing components and the very high rigidity and stiffness of the machine allow the Berthiez RVU line to attain highest cutting perfor-mance and long-term durability.

The machine-line Berthiez RVU is available in different sizes. The machines can be equipped with a variety of different extensions, thus being flexible to suit every specific process need.

The optimized structure of the machine components guarantees ergonomically operation. Continuous process monitoring is also provided.

The optional complementary equipment offers a global machining solution by integrating hard turning, boring and parts measurement.

– The hydrostatic table bearing with the torque motor table drive guarantees a vibration damped and backlash free rotation. The geome-trical performances with tolerances in concentricity and run-out of < 1,5 µm make the machine suitable for every component with high requirements in accuracy.

– The universal design of the machine meets requirements from the most varied fields of application which require the highest performance from the machining process:
