Conditions of Entry

1. Artists may submit up to a maximum of 6 original paintings. In the event of total number of entries exceeding the hanging capacity of the venue the maximum number per exhibitor may be reduced. Artists are therefore asked to list works in order of hanging priority.

2. Each artist must complete the attached Entry Form and send it together with the entry fees to the secretary before the closing date of Wednesday September 9th, 2015. Entry forms must be complete with name and address and for each work its title, category/medium and price. Entry forms must be signed and payment included. Late entries will not be accepted.

3. A fee of $10 is charged for each painting entered. A matching pair of small paintings will be considered as one entry. Cheques/Money Orders should be made payable to The City of Warrnambool Art Show. Fees may be paid by credit card by completing the appropriate area of the form.

4. Each entry must clearly identify the medium used as prizes are awarded based on the medium category. Entries in the Other Media category should also identify the medium. Any entry where the medium is not identified will be classed as Other Media.

5. All paintings must be framed and ready for hanging. Stretcher frames are acceptable if they are ready to hang. All works entered must be drawings or paintings - sculpture, ceramics, photography etc. cannot be accepted.

6. No painting is to exceed the size limit. Length added to Height must not exceed 3 metres. Paintings that do not meet the size limit will not be accepted.

7. The Rotary Club will retain 20% of the proceeds of the sale, and will pay the balance to the entrant by cheque within 21 days of the close of the show (October 19th).

8. The Rotary Club will exercise all reasonable care in handling the exhibits, but will not be responsible for loss or damage to any exhibit while in its custody. Entrants are advised to insure against loss or damage from any cause what so ever.

9. Entries must be delivered free of all charges. No payment will be made by the Rotary Club for freight or other charges incurred in the delivery or return of entries.

10. Upon authorisation of the Rotary Club, exhibitors shall permit their work on display to be photographed and reproduced for promotional purposes.

11. The Judge’s decisions are final. The Rotary Club will endeavour to notify all winners after 5.00pm on Thursday September 24th and invite them to the Gala Opening at 7.00pm on Friday September 25th.

12. The judge will address exhibitors after the Gala Opening. All exhibitors are offered one ticket each to the Gala at a reduced price of $10.00. Additional tickets to the Gala are available for $20 each. Refreshments are provided. Tickets are available from the Artists Coordinator 0419 994 080.

13. Painting Deliveries – note changed time and date. Late entries will not be accepted All paintings are to be delivered to Performing Arts Centre, Warrnambool Primary School, Jamieson

Street, Warrnambool on Tuesday 22nd September 2015 between 10.00am and 1.00pm. 14. Prior to delivery each exhibit must be clearly identified on the back showing artist’s name, painting

title, medium and price. Labels have been provided on this form for your use. The club will take all care but accept no responsibility for errors caused by incorrect or missing official labels.

15. The Rotary Club reserves the right to withdraw from sale and display any works it considers inappropriate for the show.

16. Collection of unsold paintings - Sunday 27th September between 4.30pm and 7.00pm Any paintings not collected by the deadline will attract a $20 handling fee and can be collected by

arrangement with the secretary. Any exhibit not collected by November 29th, 2015 will become the property of the Rotary Club of Warrnambool East.
