BEST PRACTICES IN GBES

BEST PRACTICES IN ICTThe teachers of GBES started using multimedia presentation for their grades 1 and 2 classes since 2010. Their computer aided instruction proved to be effective in catching the interests of the young children in their lesson presentation.

Read During Lunch Break (RDLB)

During lunch break, after eating, our pupils read books in our reading corner/mini-library. They devoted their time in reading fables, short stories and even our big books instead of chatting nonsense, thus enhancing their reading ability.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters

It was also during lunch breaks that our fast readers served as mentors to our frustration readers on non-readers. They acted as big brothers/big sisters to slow readers.

Reading Aloud a Paragraph a DayIt was also the usual practice to read aloud a paragraph a day before classes start to develop the oral communication of the pupils.

Remediation ClassesAs commitment to our slow or non-reader, every teacher had remediation classes for them to improve their reading ability.

Best Practices in EA/IAInstead of planting ornamental plants, we cultivate different kinds of vegetables in our vacant spaces.

Girls are given equal opportunities to try metal handling and carpentry.

Best Practice in Edukasyong Pantahanan at PangkabuhayanIn the celebration of 2015 Nutrition Month GBES held a cooking contest for Teachers where the teachers presented dishes that are not only cheap but also delicious and nutritious using backyard grown vegetables.

Best Practice in MathematicsThe teachers in their vacant periods give remedial classes to non-numerates. They give drill practices and reinforcement activities.

Best Practice in MAPEHThe teachers after classes conducted Zumba to promote health and wellness. Everyone joined and enjoyed zumba.
