The overall project involves many different stages that required the demolition of existing areas including bars, restaurant and retail areas to make space for a new high end finish. Further works involve refurbishing the main building, lobby, café and deck areas, lift lobby, entrance airlock and basement lobby, as well as integrating three floors of high end office space to the basement, ground and first floor levels. All works have been carried out in closely occupied and operational circumstances among existing retained tenancies.

Heirloom Apartments involves a major heritage adaptive re-use of the iconic Dalgety & Co Wool Stores into 183 unique industrial style apartments. Feature restoration includes the construction of two internal feature atriums, replacing the historic saw-tooth roof and the revitalisation of the predominantly 94 year old masonry façade and Jarrah structure, into feature ceilings. Early on, the design was still being developed around the value engineering options proposed by Built, whilst maintaining open communication with the client to ensure they were comfortable with the direction of the project.
