leave our manuacturing acility. We only ship luminaires that have passed

a series o tests to meet industry standards and our own strict quality and

perormance measurements.

As an Energy Star partner and Department o Energy SSL Quality Advocate,

BetaLED is committed to upholding program standards through testing and

reporting. We are committed to delivering products that perorm to these high

agency standards.

Evaluating PerormanceThe Illuminating Engineering Society o North America (IESNA) new Backlight,

Uplight, Glare or BUG standard o measurement provides improved perormance

descriptions and measurement or LED luminaires. This TM-15 Luminaire

Classiication System (LCS) or Outdoor Luminaires classiies luminaire

photometric perormance related to light trespass, sky glow, and high angle

brightness control.

All BetaLED products are International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) approved and

are measured or perormance using IESNA standards and guidelines including the

IES BUG rating system which supercedes the ormer cut-o classiication system.

BetaLED has participated in numerous U.S. Department o Energy (DOE) testing

and evaluation demonstrations including the GATEWAY and CALiPER programs.

These demonstrations and tests evaluate high perormance BetaLED products

or outdoor illumination in a variety o commercial applications. The inormation

When the city o Arezzo was ready to test LED technology, the Crocina Tunnel was shut down overnight to retroit all existing High

Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamps with THE EDGE tunnel luminaires.

one test site throughout the city that will help propel Austin as a leader in the LED City initiative.

We plan to evaluate LED solutions that have the potential to reduce energy consumption by 47 to 90 percent over traditional lighting solutions,

said Austin Mayor Will Wynn. The total wattage of the LED parking garage light installation is about 30 percent below the allowable wattage as

required by the Energy Code Allowance.

BetaLED can provide. The darker area represents Type V Short optic coverage. The Short optic

can be utilized to comply with more stringent light spill and high angle brightness speciications or

codes by incorporating a lower main beam and cuto angle. The extended yellow area indicates

the Type V Medium optic coverage. The Medium optic incorporates a slightly higher main beam to

allow wider, more economical pole spacing.

Both the Short and Medium optics still achieve excellent uniormity and IDA approval.
