These are important and timely issues.
Fear is our body’s response to a dangerous situation and it
can be both protective and adaptive. Anxiety, however, is
our body’s “false alarm.” Dr. Weckstein will explore the
causes of anxiety in children and adolescents and share
research-based treatment interventions that can help kids
“boss back” their worries so their anxiety doesn’t stop them
from doing the things they want or need to do.
Sander Weckstein, MD
Dr. Weckstein is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who has practiced in the Traverse City area for over 20 years. Dr. Weckstein specializes in treating children and adolescents who have mood disorders.
