The functions of APOC and iAPOC

Current POC does not have sufficient PM efficiency to meet Euro IV for many •

engines without a significant upgrade

POC regeneration is ineffective, especially in real driving conditions when the •

exhaust temperature is lower than the certification driving cycle

Sulfur tolerance is relatively low•

Soot blow off occurs due to open passage design•

Soot blockage causes high BP and even engine stalling•

Substrate burn off occurs due to self-accelerating soot burning•

APOC uses a combination of foams with different pore sizes, and realizes a deep bed filter with PM •

efficiencies adaptable to the engine out PM value, capable of approaching a wall flow DPF

APOC takes advantage of a passive regeneration mechanism, with inherent high heat and mass transfer •

properties, delivering effective and efficient PM (collected) regeneration, completing the filter function

APOC usually comes with a PSD (pressure safety device), to prevent engine stalling and for added •

customer driving safety in extreme cases when PM build-up becomes abruptly large

iAPOC integrates the DOC function into APOC, taking advantage of the excellent coatability of the •

foams and achieving a uniform passive soot regeneration

An experienced and world-class coating partner ensures the sulfur tolerance of the oxidation catalyst coating•

APOC and iAPOC are mainly designed for on-road and off-road diesel vehicle PM reduction to meet •

Euro IV and V equivalent, and stage III and stage IV-interim equivalent regulations, although other

applications are possible

APOC can be used for a new platform, or for running change for an existent platform where a DOC •

has already been selected to meet the above emission requirement

iAPOC can be used for new platforms to meet the above emission requirement•

APOC and iAPOC consistently reach PM reduction efficiency exceeding 70%, and are 350 ppm sul-•

fur tolerant. They can be used in the majority of engine platforms to reach China, Euro, BS IV, V, etc.
