    INTRODUCTION

Many Torah-based Messianic communities or newcomers to Torahwill often look to rabbinicalJudaism for additional insight on how to keep the commandments. Can any traditions or commentarynot found in the Scriptures be applied to sound doctrine? Even if rabbinical Judaism denies that

is Mashiach, can enlightening information be gleaned from the rabbis regardless?

The answer to this question will not be a simple one-sentence response. First and foremost, consider

    these vital words from ourRabbi.

HOWBEIT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP Me , TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THECOMMANDMENTS OF MEN.

For laying aside the commandment of Elohim , ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of potsand cups: and many other such like things ye do.

And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of Elohim, that ye may keep yourown tradition. Mark 7:7-9

In this account in the evangel of Mark, is strongly rebuking and condemning the

traditions of the Pharisees as vain worship. gave His disciples a pithy yet crucial

warning on following the Pharisaical traditions.

Then said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of

    the Sadducees. Matthew 16:6

As a matter of fact, the origins of rabbinical Judaism stem from the Pharisaical traditions, which isconfirmed by the Jewish Encyclopedia.

With the destruction of the Temple (70 A.D.) the Sadducees disappeared altogether, leaving theregulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by

the Pharisees; the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view, and anew aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older priestly

tradition (Abot 1:1). Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew forall future. Jewish Encyclopedia, 1905 Edition, page 666

This will be further expounded upon throughout this study. First and foremost, it must be explained

how rabbinical law was codified. The central text of rabbinical Judaism is called the Talmud1, which isa vast compilation of rabbinical writings called tractates. They are written in Aramaic and an archaic

dialect of Hebrew called Mishnaic or Tannaitic Hebrew.

The Talmud is comprised of two components the Mishnah2

    and the Gemara3

. Although the Mishnahand Gemara were written during separate centuries, they were eventually solidified into the Talmud as acohesive entirety. Keep in mind that there is a Babylonian Talmud and a Jerusalem Talmud, each of

    which contain different tractates.

1Talmud -Hebrew: dUmlTmeaning: instruction or learning.

    2Mishnah -Hebrew: hn$mmeaning: repetition.

3Gemara -Hebrew: )rmgliteral translation: to study or learn by tradition.

Many of the rabbinical traditions have origins in Babylonian paganism and were acquired during thecaptivity of the kingdom of Judah in Babylon. This is why much of the Talmud is written in Aramaic.

The rabbinical traditions were not immediately written down in a canonical text, which is why bothvolumes of the Talmud are compilations of writings from diverse time periods. The rabbis assert that

these traditions were passed down from each generation and this supposedly verifies their authenticity. This is why the Talmud is also referred to as the Oral Tradition, Oral Torah or the Oral Law.

According to the rabbis, 70 sages received these traditions at the foot of Mt. Sinai and were entrusted topass down the rest of the Torah orally to each generation. They claim that the 70 elders mentioned in

Numbers 11:16-25 are 70 rabbinical sages. However, right off the bat, two verses in the book of Joshuaimmediately pose a problem to this claim.

And afterward he read all the words of the Torah, the blessings and cursings, according to all

that is written in the book of the Torah. There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the

congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant

    among them. Joshua 8:34-35

Not only is there not a single reference to the oral law in the Torah, Joshua made no mention of itafter Moses death. Thus, if these rabbinical traditions were acquired in Babylon and practiced by the

Pharisees, it begs the question does rabbinical Judaism bear any resemblance to the authentic Torahobservance of the Scriptures? This issue will be further explored throughout this study.

For those that are not familiar with the Talmud, refer to the chart below that illustrates how thevolumes are structured.

1961 Soncino edition of the Babylonian Talmud, which restored sections previously omitted from other editions.

To revisit the connection between the Pharisees and the Talmud, let us an example in an account in the

evangel. When and Hisdisciples were picking corn on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:1-8,

    Mark 2:23-28), it is incorrectly assumed that and Hisdisciples were violating the Sabbath;

which, Elohimforbid, they would never do. The reason the Pharisees chided them is because they

were violating a rabbinical prohibition against sifting and threshing. An excerpt from the followingTalmudic tractate shows Rabbinical Judaisms connection to the tradition of the Pharisees.

In case a woman rolls wheat to remove the husks, it is considered sifting; if she rubs the head ofwheat, it is regarded as threshing; if she cleans off the side-adherences, it is sifting out

fruit; if she throws them up in her hand, it is winnowing. Jer. Shabbat, Folio 10a

Here we have a second smoking gun unequivocally linking the Pharisees to the Talmud. Anotherprime example of this are the hand and cup washing rituals mentioned in Matthew 15:1-9, Mark 7:1-9

and Luke 11:37-41. There is an entire tractate chapter dedicated to these traditions in the Talmud(Berakhot, Chapter 8, on Kiddush) that is still a staple in rabbinical Judaism today.

Although the Berakhot tractate chapter is too long to quote here, a shorter tractate excerpt can be usedto illustrate the connection. In the following tractate, Rabbi Akiba

4, one of the most famous Talmudic

sages, still observed the hand washing rituals, even when he was in prison. This shows how gravelyimportant their traditions are to them.

Our Rabbis taught: R. Akiba was once confined in a prison-house and R. Joshua the grits-maker19was attending on him. Every day, a certain quantity of water was brought in to him. On one occasionhe

20was met by the prison keeper who said to him, Your water to-day is rather much; do you perhaps

require it for undermining the prison? He poured out a half of it and handed to him the other half. Whenhe

21came to R. Akiba the latter said to him, Joshua, do you not know that I am an old man and my life

    depends on yours? 22

When the latter told him all that had happened [R. Akiba] said to him, Give mesome water to wash my hands. It will not suffice for drinking, the other complained, will it suffice

for washing your hands? What can I do, the former replied: when for [neglecting] the words of theRabbis 23one deserves death? It is better that I myself should die than that I should transgress against the

    opinion of my colleagues.24

It was related that he tasted nothing until the other had brought him water

wherewith to wash his hands. When the Sages heard of this incident they remarked: If he was so[scrupulous] in his old age how much more must he have been so in his youth; and if he so [behaved] ina prison-house how much more [must he have behaved in such a manner] when not in a prison-house.

    Mas. Eiruvin, Folio 21b

When we examine the account in Matthew 15, this will establish the case how the traditions of the

    Pharisees contradict the Torahof .

!Then came to scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

"Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they

eat bread.#But Heanswered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of Elohimby

    your tradition?

For Elohimcommanded, saying, HONUR THY FATHER AND MOTHER: AND, HE THAT

CURSETH FATHER OR MOTHER, LET HIM DIE THE DEATH.

But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest

    be profited by me;

And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of

Elohimof none effect by your tradition.Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOURETH ME

WITH THEIR LIPS; BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME.BUT IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE

    COMMANDMENTS OF MEN. Matthew 15:1-9

4Rabbi Akiva -leading contributor to the Mishnah. Referred to in the Talmud as Rosh LaChachamim {ymkxl$)ror

head of all the sages. During the Bar Kokhba revolt, he promoted Simon Bar Kokhba as the Jewish Messiah, who is now

acknowledged by Judaism as an imposter messiah. Akiva changed Simons surname to Bar Kokhba, which is Aramaic

abkwk rbfor son of a star. The surname change was a reference to the prophecy in Numbers 24:17 that says, there

shall come a Star out of Jacob.

Esaias is the Greek translation for the name of the prophet Isaiah. is actually quoting a

    verse from the Tanakh.

Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they

stagger, but not with strong drink.

For hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the

prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which mendeliver toone that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I amnot learned.

Wherefore said, Forasmuch as this people draw near Mewith their mouth, and with

their lipsdo honour Me, but have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear toward Meis taughtby the precept of men. Isaiah 29:9-13

In Isaiahs startlingly accurate prophecy, the children of Israel are intoxicated to the point of slumberwith the fermented doctrine of men. Notice that verses 11 and 12 in Isaiah 29 mention a sealed book

that is continually passed down and interpreted by more learned men. This sounds a lot like the OralTradition, doesnt it?

Take special heed to verse 13 when says that the people are taught to worship Himby

the precepts of men. However, thehearts of the people become removed from Himas they only recitethe commandments of men. In other words, it is religious hypocrisy, or lip service at its finest.

Now that we see more of the context of the Scripture verse that was quoting in His

rebuke against the Pharisees; it is more apparent why Hefelt righteous anger towards their customs. To clarify how the Pharisees were violating the commandment to honor one's parents as mentioned in

Matthew 15:4-6, we must first refer to the same account in the evangel of Mark.

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let

    him die the death:

But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that it is to say, a gift, bywhatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;Making the word of Elohimof none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and

many such like things do ye. Mark 7:10-13

Corban is translated from the Greek word !"#$%&, which originates from the Aramaic word nbrqand Hebrew word }Brq, respectively. The definition for both the Aramaic and Hebrew words Qorbanis an offering or oblation. The Greek word !"#$'&%((Korbanas) refers to the Temple treasury.

As a way of fulfilling the commandment to honor your parents, an adult son would financially support

his parents in their years of old age or poor health. The Pharisees concocted a scheme where they wouldmark a persons finances as Corban, so they would give the money to the Temple and not use it for

    personal interests.

This is further confirmed by a 1st century Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus.

    R. Johanan said: A heathen who studies the Torah deserves death, for it is written, Mosescommanded us a law for an inheritance;

2it is our inheritance, not theirs.

    3 Sanhedrin, Folio 59a

As an alternative, the rabbis instead dictate that non-Jews observe the Seven Laws of Noah or the

Noahide Laws. They consist of prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, theft, eating fleshcut from a living animal and the statute to establish social laws and courts of justice.

Our Rabbis taught: seven precepts were the sons of Noah commanded: social laws;33

to refrainfrom blasphemy, idolatry; adultery; bloodshed; robbery; and eating flesh cut from a living animal. R.

Hanania b. Gamaliel said: Also not to partake of the blood drawn from a living animal.Social laws. Were then the children of Noah bidden to observe these? Surely it has been taught: The

    Israelites were given ten precepts at Marah, seven of which had already been accepted by the children ofNoah, to which were added at Marah social laws, the Sabbath, and honouring one's parents;

The inclusion of heathens, to whom blasphemy is prohibited just as to Israelites, and they are executedby decapitation; for every death penalty decreed for the sons of Noah is only by decapitation.

    Sanhedrin, Folio 56a 56b5

Violation of any of the Noahide laws would entail death by decapitation. While the laws that prohibitblasphemy and idolatry seem innocent at first, there is something far more sinister behind them. This

will be elaborated upon in a moment.Notice that the Sabbath is not mentioned as one of the Noahide laws. The rabbis have omitted the

fourth commandment as a requirement for non-Jews, even though sanctified the Sabbath

day for all of mankind to rejoice in.

AndElohimblessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it Hehad rested from all

his work which Elohimcreated and made. Genesis 2:3

And Hesaid unto them, the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. Mark2:27

Not only does the Talmud encourage believers to break the fourth commandment, it dictates the deathpenalty for anyone who keeps the Sabbath. Worse yet, it prohibits a day of rest for non-Jews on anydayof the week.

Resh Lakish also said: A heathen who keeps a day of rest, deserves death, for it is written, And a

day and a night they shall not rest36

and a master has said: Their prohibition is their death sentence.37Rabina said: Even if he rested on a Monday. Sanhedrin, Folio 58b

The definition of blasphemy per the Noahide prohibition is not as simple as it seems. In fact, it

prohibits even saying The Name of the Creatoraltogether. This is a clear contradiction of the

Scriptures, which commands us to call upon His Name.

5Marah - one of the locations the Israelites passed through during the Exodus, see Exodus 15:22-34 and Numbers 33:8-9.

And it shall come to pass, thatwhosoever shall call on the name of shall be

delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as hath said, and in the

remnant whom shall call. Joel 2:32

If Mypeople, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My

face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will Ihear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and willheal their land. II Chronicles 7:14

The rabbis state that anyone who pronounces The Namehas no place in the world to come. In the

following Talmud tractate, a man who pronounced The Nameis burnt alive with fire, his wife is killedand his daughter is sold into prostitution.

They then brought up R. Hanina b. Teradion and asked him, Why hast thou occupied thyselfwith the Torah?

19He replied, Thus the Lord my God commanded me. At once they sentenced him to

be burnt, his wife to be slain, and his daughter to be consigned to a brothel. The punishment of being burnt came upon him because he pronounced the Name in its full spelling.

1But how could he do so? Have we not learnt: The following have no portion in the world to come:Why then was he punished? Because he was pronouncing the Name in public. His wife was punished

by being slain, because she did not prevent him [from doing it]. Abodah Zarah Folio 17b 18a

The rabbis executing the wife for not preventing the husband from pronouncing The Nameviolatesthe Scriptural principle of the accountability of sin.

Now, lo, ifhe beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth,

    and doeth not such like,

Thathath not eaten upon the mountains. neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of

Israel, hath no defiled his neighbour's wife,Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but

hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,

Thathath taken off his hand from the poor, thathath not received usury nor increase, hath executedmy judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surelylive. Ezekiel 18:14-17

If the son will not bear the iniquity of his father if he chooses not to follow in his sins, then why would

a wife be killed simply for not preventing her husband from sinning? Under rabbinical law, why doesthe wife not get a chance to not repeat the sins of her husband?

Curiously enough, during the Second Temple period when Simeon the Just (a.k.a. Simeon the

Righteous qydch}O(m$)was High Priest, all of Israel called upon The Name. In fact, by the rabbisown admission, one Talmud tractate concedes that all of Israel spoke The Tetragrammatonduringthe Second Temple period.

26The priests and the people who stood in the Temple court and who, on hearing him pronouncethe ineffable Name of God, prostrated themselves. Yoma Folio 35b

If this is the rabbis twisted definition of blasphemy, how do they define idolatry? Compliance

with the Noahide law prohibiting idolatry would prevent one from being a believer in Mashiach period. According to the rabbis, anyone who reads the New Testament books is practicing idolworship and has no place in the world to come.

MISHNAH.Reading New Testament books is idolatry. ALL ISRAEL HAVE A PORTION IN

THE WORLD TO COME, 29 FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THY PEOPLE ARE ALL RIGHTEOUS; THEYSHALL INHERIT THE LAND FOR EVER, THE BRANCH OF MY PLANTING, THE WORK OFMY HANDS, THAT I MAY BE GLORIFIED. BUT THE FOLLOWING HAVE NO PORTION

    THEREIN: Sanhedrin Folio 90a

On the same token, the rabbis consider worshipping HaMashiachto be idolatry.

Brace yourself, for what youre about to read next will not be easy for any reader that considers

    to be their Savior.

BLASPHEMOUS SLANDER AGAINST IN THE TALMUD

Throughout the Talmud, the rabbis refer to by a Hebrew acrostic curse word, Yeshu

(U$y). See the chart below for an explanation of the acrostic.

Although the Yeshu curse word is a longstanding tradition among the rabbis, its origins are explainedin a midrashic6literary tradition called Sepher Toldoth Yeshu7. It is an anti-missionary literary

piece that was widely circulated in medieval Jewish communities. In summary, it was a blasphemous, scathing mockery of the evangel. Numerous content from it was incorporated into the Talmud.

By propagating the myth that it is forbidden to pronounce The Tetragrammaton,in conjunction

with the Yeshu curse word, the rabbis attempted to conceal The Nameof Mashiach.

Namehas the first syllable of His Fathers Namein it, which is ( in

Hebrew, the first two letters of The Tetragrammaton).

Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to His Name:extol Himthat rideth upon the heavens by His

Did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.1 Rab said:

They subjected him to four deaths, stoning, burning, decapitation and strangulation.2

A certain min3said to R. Hanina: Hast thou heard how old Balaam was? He replied: It is not

actually stated, but since it is written, Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days,4 [it

follows that] he was thirty-three or thirty-four years old.5 He rejoined: Thou hast said correctly; I

personally have seen Balaams Chronicle, in which it is stated, 'Balaam the lame was thirty years old

when Phinehas the Robber killed him. 6 Sanhedrin Folio 106b

Talmud apologists will deny that Yeshu or Balaam refers to Mashiach. They claim thatYeshu refers to a heretic of unidentified origin. This is absurd and would require discarding all

common sense. Who else could the Passover Yeshu be referring to, as was crucified on

Passover? Not to mention the clear connection of Yeshu as a counterfeit to His True Name. The Balaam code term, on the other hand, might seem more difficult to prove at first. However,

when we read the previous folio in Sanhedrin 106a, we will see an apparent link with the Yeshu

slander in Sanhedrin 43a. In the previous folio, the rabbis conjecture that the mother of Balaam wassexually promiscuous with carpenters.

Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, [did the children of Israel slay with the sword].40

Asoothsayer? But he was a prophet! R. Johanan said: At first he was a prophet, but subsequently a

    soothsayer.41

    R. Papa observed: This is what men say, She who was the descendant of princes andgovernors, played the harlot with carpenters.

    42 Sanhedrin Folio 106a

The blatant reference to carpenters removes all ambiguity, as Marys (Hebrew name: Miriam {yrm)husband, Joseph, was a carpenter. If the clues are still not obvious enough, the rabbis put the nail in

their own coffin with a footnote in a separate tractate identifying the mother of Balaam.

    19. Was he then the son of Stada: surely he was the son of Pandira? Said R. Hisda: Thehusband was Stada, the paramour was Pandira. But the husband was Pappos b. Judah? His motherwas Stada. But his mother was Miriam the hairdresser? It is as we say in Pumbeditha: This one has

been unfaithful to (lit., 'turned away from' satath da) her husband. On the identity of Ben Stada v.Sanh., Sonc. ed., p. 456, n. 5. Shabbath Folio 104b, Footnote #19

For proof that Marys Hebrew name is Miriam, see this excerpt below from the Jean du Tillet Hebrew

    manuscript of Matthew:

  • 8/13/2019 Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees

    12/29

    "#

The Jean du Tillet Hebrew manuscript of Matthew is written with a peculiar orthography. This section, which would be

numbered as Matthew 1:20 in the King James Version, is re-typed below in a more legible Hebrew font and then

    translated into English.

LITERAL ENGLISH TRANSLATION:But while he thought on this, the angel appeared unto him in a dream, saying,

Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take Miriam thy wife, because that shall be born of her is of the Ruach HaQadosh

(for of the Ruach HaQadosh she is with child).

Unfortunately, the vile musings of the rabbis goes beyond combining locker room vulgarity with

revolting blasphemy. In the next tractate, the rabbis fantasize about torturing Mashiachwith boilinghot semen and excrement in their outlandish vision of the afterlife.

What is your punishment [in the other world]? He replied: What I decreed for myself. Every daymy ashes are collected and sentence is passed on me and I am burnt and my ashes are scattered over the

seven seas. He then went and raised Balaam by incantations. He asked him: Who is in repute in theother world? He replied: Israel. What then, he said, about joining them? He replied: Thou shalt not seek

their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.1 He then asked: What is your punishment? He

    replied: With boiling hot semen.2

He then went and raised by incantations the sinners of Israel3 He

asked them: Who is in repute in the other world? They replied: Israel. What about joining them? Theyreplied: Seek their welfare, seek not their harm. Whoever touches them touches the apple of his eye. He

said: What is your punishment? They replied: With boiling hot excrement, since a Master has said:Whoever mocks at the words of the Sages is punished with boiling hot excrement. Gittin Folio 57a

Whats even more shocking is that the rabbis do not even have any reverence for the Father, the

Elohimof Israel. This will be illustrated in the following section.

    FURTHER BLASPHEMY OF THE RABBIS

The rabbis and their self-proclaimed authority is not only repugnantly prideful, it is absolute idolatry.

One needs no further proof than this anecdote from the Talmud, where a rabbi debates withElohim and wins in his own delusion mind!

On that day R. Eliezer brought forward every imaginable argument,3 but they did not accept

them. Said he to them: If the halachah agrees with me, let this carob-tree prove it! Thereupon thecarob-tree was torn a hundred cubits out of its place others affirm, four hundred cubits. No proof canbe brought from a carob-tree, they retorted. Again he said to them: If the halachah agrees with me, let

the stream of water prove it! Whereupon the stream of water flowed backwards No proof can bebrought from a stream of water, they rejoined. Again he urged: If the halachah agrees with me, let the

walls of the schoolhouse prove it, whereupon the walls inclined to fall. But R. Joshua rebuked them, saying: When scholars are engaged in a halachic dispute, what have ye to interfere? Hence they did not

fall, in honour of R. Joshua, nor did they resume the upright, in honour of R. Eliezer; and they are stillstanding thus inclined. Again he said to them: If the halachah agrees with me, let it be proved from

  • 8/13/2019 Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees

    13/29

    "$

Heaven! Whereupon a Heavenly Voice cried out: Why do ye dispute with R. Eliezer, seeing that in allmatters the halachah agrees with him! But R. Joshua arose and exclaimed: It is not in heaven.

    4 What

did he mean by this? Said R. Jeremiah: That the Torah had already been given at Mount Sinai; wepay no attention to a Heavenly Voice, because Thou hast long since written in the Torah at Mount Sinai,

After the majority must one incline. Baba Mezia Folio 59b9

This is sheer, unadulterated blasphemy! The rabbis instruct to incline after the opinion of the majority,

even if commands otherwise in HisTorah. Their reasoning is that Elohim is just oneof themany rabbis with Rabbi Akiba being the head of the sages. Akiba is referred to in the Talmud as

{ymkxl $)r Rosh LaChachamim or head of all the sages. The rabbis creed of inclining after the majority or the mob rules mentality starkly contradicts this

    verse from the realTorah.

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to doevil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after

    many to wrestjudgment. Exodus 23:2

To justify their blasphemous arrogance, the rabbis twist some passages from Deuteronomy 30 to claim

that the Torahis not in heaven, so only the rabbis on earth have the authority to interpret it.

However, all one has to do is actually read the Torahverses in context and the meaning becomes clearas day.

For this commandment which Icommand thee this day, it isnot hidden from thee, neither isit

    far off.

It isnot in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us,that we may hear it, and do it?

Neither isit beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring itunto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

But the word isvery night unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

    Deuteronomy 30:11-14

We can see what the verse is actuallysaying something completely different than what the rabbis

claim. The Torahis not in heaven because it is possible for all of us to learn, understand and do it!

The rabbis take so much self-assurance in their skewed interpretations of the Torah, they forbid evenquestioning their harebrained conclusions.

Whoever mocks at the words of the Sages is punished with boiling hot excrement. GittinFolio 57a

In the following tractate, the rabbis claim that theirmanmade commandments are more important

than the commandments of the Torah! In their usual fashion, they twist Ecclesiastes 12:12 in anattempt to validate this wild conclusion.

9Halakhah -Hebrew: hklhliteral translation: to path or the way of walking, term for the collective body of religiouslaws in Judaism. This is a blanket term for both the mitzvot (tOcmcommandments, the commandments of the actualTorah) and the rabbinical oral traditions. Traditional Judaism states there are 613 mitzvot, based on Maimonedesnumbering. In actuality, there are more than 613 commandments in the Torah.

former asked: given on two different occasions?11But the latter12[are those derived] from the words

of the Torah while the former are those derived from the words of the Scribes. Raba made thefollowing exposition: What is the purport of the Scriptural text: And, furthermoremy son, beadmonished: Of making many books etc.? 13My son, be more careful14in [the observance of] the wordsof the Scribes than in the words of the Torah, for in the laws of the Torah there are positive and negative

precepts;15but, as to the laws of the Scribes, whoever transgresses any of the enactments of the Scribes

incurs the penalty of death. In case you should object: If they are of real value why were they not

recorded [in the Torah]? Scripture stated: Of making many books there is no end.13And much study is

a weariness of flesh.13R. Papa son of R. Aha b. Adda stated in the name of R. Aha b. Ulla: This 16

demurred: Is it written: scoffing? The expression is study!17Rather this is the exposition: He who

studies them feels the taste of meat.18

    Mas. Eiruvin Folio 21b 10

Again, the reoccurring reference to boiling excrement is present. Does anybody wonder why these

pious scholars of the torah are so fascinated with feces? To up the ante in supersizing their egos, the rabbis claim they are immune from any judgment or

    punishment in the afterlife.

    R. Abbahu said that R. Eleazar said: The fire of Gehinnom12

about this sort of extravagant pride?

Pridegoethbefore destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

If the rabbis are arrogant enough to think they supersede the Creator, how do they treat Hisprophets? Here is what Maimonedes (also known as the Rambam, an acronym for Rabbi Moshe benMaimon), one of the most venerated rabbinical scholars, had to say about the words of the prophets.

If there are 1,000 prophets, all of them of the stature of Elijah and Elisha, giving a certaininterpretation, and 1,001 rabbis giving the opposite interpretation, you shall incline after the majority,

and the law is according to the 1,001 rabbis, not according to the 1,000 venerable prophets. Maimonedes

According to rabbinical tradition, Isaiah was killed by one of the kings of Judah, Manasseh. A tractate

21, a false prophet named Belkira accuses Isaiah of treason. The king of Judah then condemns Isaiah todeath and Isaiah hides in a tree. Belkira finds Isaiah and leads the execution, in which the Talmud

describes the method of execution as Isaiah dying as the tree is sawn in half.In the following Talmud tractate, the rabbis justify the murder of Isaiah. They insinuate that Isaiah was

a false prophet and deserved to die for pronouncing harsh prophesies11

over the kingdom of Judah and

    for pronouncing The Name.

And in it was also written, Manasseh slew Isaiah.

    Raba said: He12

brought him to trial and then slew him. He12

said to him: Your teacher Moses said,For men shall not see Me and live

13 and you said, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted

    up.14

Your teacher Moses, said For what [great nation is there, that hath God so nigh unto them], as

the Lord our God is whensoever we call upon him,15

and you said, Seek ye the Lord when he may be

    found.16

Your teacher Moses said, The number of thy days I will fulfill17

but you said, And I will

add on to your days fifteen years.18

I know, thought Isaiah, that whatever I may tell him he will not

accept; and should I reply at all, I would only cause him to be a wilful [homicide] . He thereupon

pronounced [the Divine] Name and was swallowed up by a cedar. The cedar, however, was brought and

sawn asunder. When the saw reached his month he died. [And this was his penalty] for having said,

And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. 19 Yebamoth Folio 49b

Whether these apocryphal accounts or not are authentic is debatable. In either case,

Himselfdid condemn the Pharisees for being responsible for the blood of theprophets.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them inthe blood of the prophets.

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the

prophets.Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of Gehenna?Wherefore, behold, Isend unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall

kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to

    city:

That upon you my come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteousAbel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Verily Isay unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,

how often would Ihave gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under herwings. and ye would not!

11LaShon Hara - Hebrew: (rh}O$lmeaning: evil tongue. Halakhic term used to indicate derogatory speech towardsanother person. Judaism considers the sin of LaShon Hara to be equal to murder. The Talmud states in Baba Mezia 59a:

What is the death penalty of him who seduces a married woman?I reply to them, He is executed by strangulation, yet has

a portion in the world to come. But he who publicly puts his neighbour to shame has no portion in the world to come.

Repeating negative information, even if it is true, is forbidden in Judaism. The rabbis use the rationale that Isaiah

committed LaShon Hara and thus deserved the death penalty. The LaShon Hara doctrine is commonly preached in many

Messianic communities and ministries, often as a scare tactic so people do not rebuke sin in their congregations or exposecorruption.

Now we see the culmination of when proud religious leaders depart from the Fathersways andbecome lords over themselves.

    WISDOMOF THE RABBIS?

Even after taking the preceding facts into consideration, there are some who argue that the evil aspects

of the Talmud can be ignored and that practical wisdom can be extracted from the rabbis in other

areas. To refute this foolish counsel, let us meditate on a pertinent question posed by James (actualname: Jacob or Yaaqov bq(y), the brother of .

!!Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?!"Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt

    water and fresh. James 3:11-12

With this analogy in mind, can an extra-biblical text that has vile immorality also yield some goodwisdom? Furthermore, what is the definition of wisdom in the Scriptures?

The fear of isthe beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy isunderstanding. Proverbs 9:10

The fear of isthe beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do

Hiscommandments: Hispraise endureth for ever. Psalms 111:10

Fearing does not only include having reverence for Himbut also encompasses keeping

    Hiscommandments.

That thou mightiest fear thy Elohim,to keep all Hisstatutes and His

commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy sons son, all the days of thy life;and that thy days may be prolonged. Deuteronomy 6:2

But the mercy of isfrom everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him,

    and Hisrighteousnessunto childrens children;

To such as keep Hiscovenant, and to those that remember Hiscommandments to do them. Psalms 103:17-18

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and keep Hiscommandments: forthis isthe whole dutyof man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Evidently, the rabbis of the Talmud do not have any reverence for , nor do they keep His

commandments. In their self-righteous arrogance, they reject thecommandments of Elohimandfollow their own manmade traditions. This is not a characteristic of wisdom but is the distinguishingmark of a fool.

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. Proverbs 18:2

the dog] eat them on the ashpit of the town. After that he should untie the string and they should say,'Blindness of A, son of the woman B, leave A, son of the woman B,' and they should blow into the dog's

    eye. Gittin Folio 69a

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. Proverbs 15:2

!"The words of a wise mans mouth aregracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.!#The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous

    madness.

with this venture. They must be smoking some wacky tobacky to hallucinate some legendary rainbowscorpion. Unbeknownst to most historians, Babylon and first century Judea were crawling with exotic

critters such as these. The rabbis would put the most adept Pokmon master to shame, as fantasy animecould not even begin to describe the fearsome beasts that Akiba and Eleazar have tamed.

There is another pertinent question that should be answered can we follow some of the rituals andtraditions of rabbinical Judaism, as long as we do not let them usurp the binding authority of the

Torah? This issue will be examined in the next section.

    TRADITIONS LEARNED FROM BABYLON

If the Talmudic sages are clearly wicked and haveno authority over guidelines for Torahobservance,

then what about certain customs and traditions? Are rituals like Shabbat candles, siddur16

    liturgy andprayers, tefillin

    17and kippot

18not egregious, as long as they are solely used for tools in worship?

As mentioned in the beginning of this study, much of the Talmud was written in Aramaic and has its

origins rooted in Babylon. The link between Babylonian paganism and the traditions of rabbinicalJudaism is now going to be established.

Although we cannot expound upon the origins of every single tradition of rabbinical Judaism, as thatwould be a separate study on its own; the origins of one custom will be discussed as an example, which

is the wedding canopy or chuppah hPUx.For those that are unaware of the concept of a chuppah, it is a canopy or covering used in a Jewish

wedding ceremony. It symbolizes the home the couple will build together in their marriage. In

Talmudic times, a chuppah was a term used for the room the marriage was consummated in. The

design of the wedding canopy borrows heavily from the previous incarnation of the chuppah bedroom. Both the bridegroom and the bride stand underneath the chuppah during the ceremony.

How a chuppah is used during a traditional Jewish wedding.

Through the prophet Jeremiah, actually rebuked the Hebrews in the southern kingdom of

Judah for engaging in this custom.

For of old time Ihave broken thy yoke, andburst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will nottransgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

    Jeremiah 2:20

16Siddur -Hebrew: rUdsJewish prayer book containing a set order of daily prayers.17Tefillin -Hebrew: }ylypTPhylacteries with small black leather boxes containing scrolls of parchments with Torah verses.Rabbinical Judaism interprets Exodus 13:9, Deuteronomy 6:8 and 11:18 as a commandment to literally bind phylacteries

on the head and hand. See Matthew 23:5.18Kippot -Hebrew: tOPyKplural for hPKkippah, also called a yarmulke (qlOmr)y. previously commanded us in HisTorahto destroy the trees and groves of the pagans.

"Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served theirgods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:#And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye

shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

    Deuteronomy 12:2-3

Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any tress near unto the altar of thy Elohim,

which thou shalt make thee. Deuteronomy 16:21

Two righteous kings of Judah, Hezekiah and Josiah, destroyed these very same types of groves.

!Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, thatHezekiah theson of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

#And he did that which wasright in the sight of , according to all that David his father

did.He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the

brazen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and

he called it Nehushtan. 2 Kings 18:1, 3-4

""|!Josiah waseight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years inJerusalem. And his mothers name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

    |And he brought out the grove from the house of , without Jerusalem, unto the brookKidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped itsmall to powder, and cast the powder thereofupon the graves of the children of the people.

    |Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, andthe high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, whomade Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the highplace, and stamped itsmall to powder, and burned the grove. II Kings 22:1-2, 23:6, 15

To drive home the connection between the aforementioned Scripture verses and the chuppah tradition,

one needs to look no further than the Talmud itself. Once again, the rabbis shoot themselves in the footwith another smoking gun in their very own sacred text.

Through the shaft of a litter Bethar19

was destroyed. It was the custom when a boy was born toplant a cedar tree and when a girl was born to plant a pine tree, and when they married, the tree was cut

down and a canopy made of the branches. Gittin Folio 57a

Another aspect of tree worship that crept into rabbinical Judaism is a minor holiday called TuBShevat

    19. At first, this minor holiday simply appears to be the new year for calculating the age of

    19Tu B'Shevat - Hebrew +b$BU+meaning: fifteenth of Shevat. Also known astOnly)lhn$h$)rRosh HaShanah

La'Ilanot or new year of the trees.

    #$

trees for the agricultural laws in the Torah. However, it is not based in the Torahat all, but is ratherthinly veiled tree worship. On Tu BShevat, a myriad of trees are planted in celebration in the same

manner as prescribed in the Talmud. There is a Kabbalistic ritual that is enacted on Tu B'Shevat called the Tu BShevat seder, which is a

knockoff of the Passover seder. It is a mystical ritual dedicated to restoring cosmic blessings andstrengthening the tree of life or Daat on Kabbalistic map of the Sephirot. Although it was only

prevalent among Hasidic and Sephardic communities at first, it has gained much more prominence nowamong other communities and sects of Judaism.

In the same manner that Christmas is a pagan holiday associated with tree worship that originated inBabylon (see Jeremiah 10:1-5), rabbinical Judaism borrows heavily from Babylonian paganism just like

Christianity.Further proof of the pagan Babylonian influence on rabbinical Judaism is its calendar. The names of

the months on the rabbinical calendar are completely different than the Scriptural names for the Hebrewmonths. For example, the seventh month on the rabbinical calendar is called Tishri, but in the

Scriptures it is called Ethanim (1 Kings 8:2). The rabbinical names for the months are all Babylonianin nature; such as the name for the fourth month, Tammuz, which is a Babylonian fertility god

(Ezekiel 8:12-18).The rabbis not only admit that Babylon is the source of their customs, they also blasphemously equate

it with the land of Israel by twisting Zechariah 2:7.

Rab Judah stated in the name of Samuel: As it is forbidden to leave the Land of Israel forBabylon so it is forbidden to leave Babylon34for other countries. Rab Judah said: Whoever lives in

Babylon is accounted as though he lived in he Land of Israel; for it is said in Scripture, Ho, Zion, escape, thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

    49 Kethuboth Folio 111a

In one of the footnotes to this folio number, the rabbis state that Babylon was the educational center for

    their religious practices.

Which was the centre of religion and learning. Kethuboth Folio 111a, Footnote #34

In summary, if we cannot find a clear link to the Scriptures for a tradition or ritual, we cannot afford to

take any chances. It is better to air on the side of caution and discard it, then to risk worshipping

    with pagan customs that Hehates.

Thus saith , learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of

heaven; for theheathen are dismayed at them. Jeremiah 10:2

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings ofthe land of Canaan, whither Ibring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.Leviticus 18:3

    to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed frombefore thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods?even so will I do likewise.

What thing soever Icommand you, observe to do it: thou shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Deuteronomy 12:29-32

It is understandable to have some attachments to the traditions of our forefathers and our past. Bear inmind, though, that our ancestors have inherited falsehoods and we must choose to follow the better path

the narrow path of life (Matthew 7:13-14). We must love morethan our family and

traditions and place obedience to Himfirst.

O , my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the

Gentilesshall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited

lies, vanity, and thingswherein there isno profit. Jeremiah 16:19

He that loveth father or mother more than Meis not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or

daughter more than Meis not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:37

If any man come to Me,and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and

brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be Mydisciple. Luke 14:26

After examining the nature of the Talmud, we can see that these vain and wicked traditions of the

rabbis detract from the perfect commandments of .

Before concluding this study, let us give the Talmudic sages a standing ovation: {OrKzw {Om# xmy(May theirnames and memory be blotted out!).

EPILOGUE: CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE An overlooked but highly important element of the Pharisees is the connection with Psalm 69. Thereare many prophecies in Psalm 69 that were fulfilled in the events recorded in the evangel of John.

    PSALM 69 EVANGEL OF JOHN

    69:9 |For the zeal of Thinehouse hath eaten me up;

and the reproaches of them that reproached Theearefallen upon me.

2:17 |And Hisdisciples remembered that it waswritten, THE ZEAL OF THINE HOUSE HATH EATEN

    MEUP.

(this verse is from the chapter where

confronted the moneychangers in the Temple)

69:4 |They that hate me without a cause are more than

the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being

mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restoredthatwhich I took not away.

15:25 | But this cometh to pass, that the word might be

fulfilled that is written in their Torah, THEY HATED

    MEWITHOUT A CAUSE.

69:21 |They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my

19:28 |After this, knowing that all things

were now accomplished, that the Scripturemight be

fulfilled, saith, Ithirst.19:29 |Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and

thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop,

    and put it to Hismouth.

19:30 |When therefore had received the

vinegar,Hesaid, It is finished: and Hebowed Hishead,

    and gave up TheRuach.

If we read more of Psalm 69, we see that there are some exceedingly terrifying judgments and cursesthat will befall the Pharisees and all of their conspirators.

""Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should beenfor theirwelfare, let itbecomea trap.

"#Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

Pour out Thineindignation upon them, and let Thywrathful anger take hold of them.Let their habitation be desolate; andlet none dwell in their tents.

For they persecute himwhom Thouhast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom Thouhast wounded.

Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into Thyrighteousness.Let them be blotted out of the Book of the Living, and not be written with the righteous. Psalms

    69:22-28

Recalling what the Apostle John said in 2 John 9-11, we cannot allow teachers of this false doctrine

into our home so why should we allow their literature in our home or Scripture study? Run from the

leaven of the Pharisees and only seek the true wisdom of .

!#Happy isthe man thatfindeth wisdom, and the man thatgetteth understanding.

For the merchandise of it isbetter than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than finegold. Proverbs 3:13-14

The words of arepure words: assilver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven

    times. Psalms12:6

The Torahof Thy Mouthis better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Psalms

    119:72

True wisdom from the Creator Himselfin His Wordis more valuable than the most lavish goldand silver. This is the truly precious wisdom we should seek, not the reprobate silver of the Pharisees.

    To whom shall

Ispeak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is

uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of is unto them a reproach; they

    have no delight in it.

Thus saith , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where isthe good

way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Hear, O earth: behold, Iwill bring evil upon this people, eventhe fruit of their thoughts, because they

have not hearkened unto Mywords, nor to MyTorah, but rejected it.

O daughter of my people, gird theewith sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make theemourning, as foran only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.

Ihave set theefora tower anda fortress among Mypeople, that thou mayest know and try their way. They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they arebrass and iron; they areall

corrupters. The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked

are not plucked away.Reprobate silver shall mencall them, because hath rejected them. Jeremiah 6:10,

    16, 19, 26-30)

There is no good fruitthat can be salvaged from the teachings of the Pharisees. Remember what Johnthe Baptist said about them.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them,O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that

is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth

good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 3:7-10

John the Baptists rebuke against the Pharisees bears many similarities to warning

    against false prophets.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they areravening wolves.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Matthew 7:15-20

Notice in Matthew 3:9 John the Baptist admonishes the Pharisees to not to identify themselves with the

children of Abraham. also told the Pharisees in the evangel of John that they were not the

    sons of Abraham.

They answered and said unto Him, Abraham is our father. saith unto them, If

ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

But now ye seek to kill Me, a Manthat hath told you the truth, which I have heard of Elohim: thisdid not Abraham.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they toHim, We be not born of fornication; we have one

    Father, even .

said unto them, If were your Father, ye would love Me: for I

proceeded forth and came from Elohim; neither came Iof Myself, but Hesent Me.

Why do ye not understand Myspeech? even because ye cannot hear My Word.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from thebeginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he

speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:39-44

The reason that and John the Baptist told the Pharisees they were not the seed of

Abraham is because they were actually of the seed of Esau (a.k.a. Edom or Idumea). Herod, whowas a conspirator with the Pharisees, was also an Edomite. This is why warned us to

beware of both the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod (Mark 8:15). Due to the length anddepth of this subject, this will be discussed in a future essay.

In the last book of the Scriptures, did give us another warning of the true identity of the

    Pharisees.

    |Iknow thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemyof them which say they are Jews, are not, but are the synagogue of HaSatan.

    |Behold, Iwill make them of the synagogue of HaSatan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do

lie; behold, Iwill make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that Ihave loved thee. Revelation 2:9, 3:9

judgment against the Pharisees and Hisprophecy relating to them could not be more

fitting. Considering what we have read in their Talmud, evil of this kind could only come from menwho have HaSatan dwelling in their hearts.

It has now come to the point where it is no longer just chewing out the meat and spitting out thebones. If we try and spit out the bones then we will eventually end up choking on them. It is no

longer of question of remaining silent to not cause division over doctrine. Remember that there are

righteous divisions that justly divide the Wordof Truth(John 6:60-63, 7:43, 9:16, 10:19, Luke

12:51). This is now a question of loyalty to and choosing between good and evil.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will

hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve and mammon. Matthew 6:24

He that is not with Meis against Me, and he that gathereth not with Mescattereth abroad. Matthew 12:30

    And if it seems evil unto you to serve , choose you this day whom ye will serve;

whether the gods which your fathers served that wereon the other side of the flood, or the gods of the

Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve . Joshua24:15

Are these words too harsh? Is this idealistic zeal too antiquated for today? After all, these traditionsare commonplace, right? We do not want to seem awkward and confrontational, after all, we have to get

along with the brethren. If the most respected men in the Messianic communities teach from the

Talmud, it cannot be that bad, right? has a few words to say about what is deemed

    acceptable by the masses.

And Hesaid unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but Elohimknoweth

your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of Elohim. Luke 16:15

gives a stern judgment against both those who teach the leaven of the Pharisees and

those that follow these false doctrines.

!#But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heavenagainst men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye that are entering to go in.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows houses, and for a pretencemake long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of Gehenna than yourselves. Matthew23:13-15

Reflecting back to Psalm 69 of the judgments and curses the Pharisees will suffer, heresays any follower of the Pharisees will be twice as damned as them. If 2 John 9-11 says we partake oftheir evil deeds if we just bid them a greeting or blessing how much more so if we actually practice

what they preach? Although these are harsh words that are quite jarring, we cannot ignore these hard

    sayings of our Rabbi.

We highly urge you reflect deeply on these vital words of our Rabbi, HaMashiach,

as you ponder the information in this study.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for Oneis your Rabbi, even Mashiach, and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Mashiach. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be

    exalted. Matthew 23:8-12

His Glorious Nameand Memorywill neverbe blotted out the devices of the wicked will never

prosper and shall come to nothing. The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our Elohim

shall stand forever (Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33, John 1:1-14). Amein }m).
