• September 4th 1981 one of the greatest performers of all time was born, Beyonce Giselle Knowles. Singer, songwriter, actress, fashion icon, and so much more Beyonce has become a recognizable idol and brand to millions of people all over the world.
Songwriter• “Dangerously in Love” which sold over 6million
units worldwide and 317,000 in the first week. • Beyonce wrote Destiny Child’s 1st Hot 100 hit
“Bills, Bills, Bills” and she was only 16 years old
• Check On It was #1 for six consecutively weeks on Billboards Hot 100 Chart
• The album B’Day debuted at number one on the Billboard 100, selling more than 541,000 copies in the first week, her highest first-week sales mark as a solo artist.
Songwriters Cont’d• "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" went on to top
the Billboard Hot 100 chart, for four non-consecutive weeks, giving Knowles her fifth number one single in the United States
