Brazilian Football Residential Camp in Florida

Recommended for players 12 years and older

Offered in Conjunction with the Level 3 License

Introduction

The Residential programme is the last educational step of the cycle of

education completed in the United States. It is a complete review of the

8/3/2019 BFCT Website Info Revised

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/bfct-website-info-revised 13/42

technical and tactical concepts necessary to any player that is interested

in excelling in the game of soccer and wanting to play in the highest level

of college or professional football (soccer).

The programme consists of 48 hours of education divided into 5 days 4

nights. The residential programme is the first opportunity that BFUT staff

will have to do the complete player profile (physical, technical, tactical,

nutritional, and psychological analysis) of each participant. The players

will receive at the end of the residential camp a complete player

assessment with the suggested 3 months cycle of continued education.

The residential programme is offered on a team and individual basis and

will cover the technical-tactical curriculum of the appropriate age group.

The programme is divided into Intermediate and Advanced groups. The

participant will be placed in their appropriate level at the camp after the

player assessment.

For a full understanding of our philosophy and better tactical

development, we strongly recommend the team camp attending the

programme as a unit. Example: An 12 year old player attends the camp

and his/her priority will be to develop the technical ability and

introduction to tactical concepts. The player will participate in the

8/3/2019 BFCT Website Info Revised

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/bfct-website-info-revised 14/42

intermediate group. When this player decides to come to the next year’s

camp, a full summary of the first camp will be available. The player will

now work with the advanced group and focus on the technical tactical-

functional concepts.

Players attending the BFUT Residential Camp have played in the MLS, US

National Team, Bermuda National Youth Teams and top College soccer

teams. The players that achieve a high level of performance in the

Residential Camp are invited to go to Brazil to participate in the IPT

Programme.

Major goals to accomplish

• Understand the why, when and how of each concept

(understanding how to make the right decision under pressure)

• Learn how to read the game

• Establish each participant’s major goals and make a

development plan for the following 3 months

• Start to identify the level of commitment necessary to become

a professional player

• Develop the most important physical, technical, tactical, and

emotional factors

• Advanced tactical systems

• Advanced tactical schemes

Level 3

8/3/2019 BFCT Website Info Revised

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/bfct-website-info-revised 22/42

Introduction

We believe that to become a good educator, you must have expertise in

the different football philosophies. Football (soccer) is one of the few

sports that have two major educational philosophies: European – fast

physical speed with consistency of the high ball – fast, but predictable –

England, Germany and Holland are some of the examples. South American –

short passes on the ground consistently changing point of attack which

facilitates the decision making and increases the mental speed. This type

of game results in unpredictable players and teams. Brazil is the best

example of this philosophy.

BFUT brings a perfect combination of the best of both philosophies –

offensively have the freedom of positioning and defensively scoring

goals. Everybody attacks and everybody defends.

There are 3 ways to receive the BFUT Level 3 License:

1. Attending the National Coaching Symposium at the BFUT Center

of Training in Florida. The duration of the programme is 5 days - 4

nights with 48 hours of education: 30% of the classes are theory

and 70% practical. It is a year round programme offered in English,

Spanish or Portuguese.

2. For coaches interested in combining their team seasonal

preparation through a Day Camp for players (any part of the world)

and adding extra hours of theory and practical evaluation for

educators.

3. Attending the International Coaching Symposium in Brazil in

combination with the Level 2 License.

Note: a thirty minutes practical evaluation and 90 minute theory

evaluation are mandatory. After completion of the programme, the
