Intended use

This appliance is intended for domestic use only. This appliance isintended for use up to a maximum height of 2000 metres above sealevel. Only use this vacuum cleaner in accordance with the instruc-tions in this instruction manual.

In order to prevent injuries and damage, the vacuum cleanermust not be used for:

Vacuum-cleaning persons or animals Vacuuming up:- hazardous, sharp-edged, hot or glowing substances.- damp or liquid substances. - highly flammable or explosive substances and gases. - ash, soot from tiled stoves and central heating systems. - toner dust from printers and copiers.

Spare parts, accessories, dust bags

Our original spare parts, original (special) accessories andoriginal dust bags are designed to work with the features andrequirements of our vacuum cleaners. We therefore recom-mend that you only use our original spare parts, original (spe-cial) accessories and original dust bags. This will ensure thatyour vacuum cleaner has a long service life and that the qualityof its cleaning performance will remain consistently highthroughout.

Safety information

This vacuum cleaner complies with the recognised rules oftechnology and the relevant safety regulations.

The appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 yearsand by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mentalcapacity or by persons with a lack of experience or knowledgeif they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe useof the appliance and the have understood the potential dan-gers of using the appliance. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out bychildren without supervision. Plastic bags and films must be kept out of the reach of chil-dren before disposal.=> Risk of suffocation.

Proper use

Only connect and use the vacuum cleaner in accordance withthe specifications on the rating plate. Never vacuum without the dust bag or dust container, motorprotection or exhaust filter. => This may damage the vacuum cleaner. Do not vacuum close to the head when using a nozzle andtube. => This could cause injury! When vacuuming stairs, the appliance must always be posi-tioned below the user.

Do not use the power cord or the hose to carry or transportthe vacuum cleaner. For safety reasons, if this appliance's mains power cablebecomes damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,their after-sales service department or a similarlyqualified per-son.Fully extend the power cord when using the vacuum cleanercontinuously for several hours. When disconnecting the appliance from the mains, pull on theplug itself to remove it; do not pull on the power cord.Do not pull the power cord over sharp edges or allow it to be-come trapped. When the cable is being automatically rewound, ensure that the mains plug is not thrown towards persons, body parts, animals or objects. => Use the mains plug to guide the power cord.Pull out the mains plug before carrying out any work on thevacuum cleaner.Do not operate the vacuum cleaner if it is damaged. Unplugthe appliance from the mains if a fault is detected.For safety reasons, only authorised after-sales service person-nel are permitted to carry out repairs and fit replacementparts to the vacuum cleaner.Protect the vacuum cleaner from the weather, moisture andsources of heat. Do not pour flammable substances or substances containingalcohol onto the filters (dust bag, motor protection filter,exhaust filter, etc.).The vacuum cleaner is not suitable for use on constructionsites. => Vacuuming up building rubble could damage the

appliance. Switch off the appliance when it is not in use. At the end of its life, the appliance should immediately be ren-dered unusable, then disposed of in an appropriate manner.

! Please note

The mains socket must be protected by at least a 16 amp cir-cuit breaker.If a circuit breaker is tripped when you switch on the vacuumcleaner, this may be because other electrical appliances whichhave a high current draw are connected to the same power cir-cuit. To prevent the circuit breaker from tripping, select the lowestpower setting before switching the appliance on, and increasethe power only once it is running.

This vacuum cleaner is a general purpose vacuum cleaner with aprimary hose.To achieve the declared energy efficiency and cleaning perfor-mance class on carpet and hard floor, please use the interchan-geable universal nozzle. Please use the enclosed "powerClean Stone & Co" hard-floor toolto achieve the specified energy-efficiency level and cleaning classon hard floors with joints and gaps.These calculations are based on the Commission DelegatedRegulation (EU) No. 665/2013 of 3rd May 2013 supplementingDirective 2010/30/EU. Unless otherwise stated, all the proce-dures referred to in these instructions were carried out inaccordance with the EN 60312-1:2017* standard.*As the motor service test is carried out with the dust collectorempty, the stated motor service life must be increased by 10% fortests with the dust collector half filled.

Controlling the suction levelFigure The required suction level can be set toany level by turning the control knob.

Low power range =>For vacuuming delicate materials, suchas delicate upholstery, curtains, etc.Medium power range => For daily vacuuming of floors whichare only slightly dirty.High power range => For vacuuming durable floor coverings,hard floors and heavy deposits of dirt.

!CautionFloor tools are subject to a certainamount of wear, depending on thetype of hard floors you have (e.g.rough, rustic tiles). Therefore, youmust check the underside of the floortool at regular intervals. Worn under-sides of floor tools may have sharpedges that can damage sensitive hardfloors, such as parquet or linoleum.The manufacturer does not acceptany responsibility for damage causedby worn floor tools.

If you are vacuuming up larger particles,make sure that you vacuum them up suc-cessively and carefully to ensure that thevacuum channels of the floor tool do notbecome blocked.If necessary, you should raise the nozzle inorder to better vacuum up the dirt par-ticles.

Attach the nozzles to the suctionpipe or hand grip as required:

Emptying the dust container

Figure In order to achieve good vacuumingresults, the dust container should beemptied after every use or, at thelatest, when dust or dirt has visiblycollected on the fluff filter or whendust at one point in the container hasreached the height of the marking.

When emptying the dust container,always check how dirty the fluff filter isand, if necessary, clean it as detailed inthe "Cleaning the fluff filter" instruc-tions. Figure

Figure The dust container must be emp-tied at the latest by the time thedust bag change indicator lights uppermanently in red and the appli-ance automatically switches itselfto the lowest power setting.

!CautionIf you notice any resistance when clo-sing the lid, check that the filter iscomplete and that the filter and dustcontainer are correctly seated.

Filter care

Cleaning the plate filterThis function constantly monitorswhether your vacuum cleaner is rea-ching its optimum power level. Theindicator light lets you know when youneed to clean the plate filter, so thatthe vacuum cleaner can reach its opti-mum power level once more.

„SelfClean“-function

Figure The indicator lights up blue whenthe appliance is working at its opti-mum level. Once the indicatorturns red and flashes, the applian-ce switches off automatically Filtercleaning is activated and perfor-med by the integrated cleaningmotor.

If the appliance cleans three times inquick succession, this is probablydue to a dirty fluff filter or a blockage.In this case, the appliance automati-cally adjusts to the lowest power set-ting and the indicator lights up red.●Switch the appliance off, empty thedust container and clean the fluff fil-ter according to the instructions in"Cleaning the fluff filter". Figure If required, you can also activatethe cleaning procedure manuallyby pressing the "Clean" filter clea-ning button when the appliance isswitched on.If suction power is reducing, youcan also clean the filter even if theindicator has not lit up. We recom-mend that you clean the plate filtereach time before emptying thedust container.

25 Cleaning the fluff filterThe fluff filter should be cleaned atregular intervals in order to ensureoptimum operation of the vacuum cle-aner.Figure ●Open the appliance lid and removethe dust container from the applian-ce. Figure

● Take the filter unit out of the dustcontainer.● It is usually sufficient to lightly shakeor tap out the whole filter unit whenthe dust container is emptied in orderto dislodge any particles of dirt.● If this is not sufficient, you can use adry cloth to remove dirt particlesfrom the fluff filter.

Always switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the powercord from the mains before cleaning the vacuum cleaner. Thevacuum cleaner and plastic accessories can be cleaned with anordinary plastic cleaner.

Disposal of filters and dust bagsFilters and dust bags are manufactured from environmentally friendlymaterials. Provided they do not contain substances that are notpermitted in household waste, you can dispose of them with yournormal household waste.
