It is the first step in their plan to adopt a new international identity. They are expected to spend around 300 crores rupees in the whole process. According to their website: ³Our new international identity has been specially crafted to appeal to a more dynamic & demanding audience. At the same time, it retains the core elements of what has made our  brand a market leader.´ ³Our unique symbol is an interpretation of the µA¶ in Airtel. The curved shape and the gentle highlights on the red color make it warm and inviting, almost as if it were a living object.´ From the consumer¶s perspective I don¶t think anything would change. Same lazy customer care support, same network congestions, same call drops, high call rates and everything else too. It is definitely okay to rebrand, but we would urge AirTel to spend some amount of money and most importantly time to rebrand and rework on their services. That will bring smile to their consumer¶s faces. How do you like this new logo and all new rebranding stuff??
