See the latest range at both Seacroft and Blackpool cavalcade festivals Bohm have a long tradition of manufacturing electronic organs in Germany. These instruments, with the legendary name of their inventor, Dr. Rainer Böhm, have been available since 1956. In the early years they were sold in a ‘self build’ kit pack system – today, these high class instruments are individually manufactured to a very high standard by the Keyswerk Music Electronic GmbH company in north German Bückeburg. As well as beautifully finished solid wood cabinets, the instruments offer a huge array of playing possibilities and an incredibly warm sound. Bohm have also designed their instruments with ease of use in mind, in fact most settings are available at the simple touch of a button. Numerous modern playing aids and features help you to play the most diversified of arrangements in ‘real time’. Every instrument also comes with a pre-installed “Preset Song List”, a list with perfectly arranged settings for nearly 900 well known tunes. Just select the song and the organ is set to start playing, with matching registrations, styles and accompaniments, very easy! All of the present line of Böhm instruments have the newly developed AMADEUS tone generation /sound system – which Bohm claim offers “a wonderfully warm and full sound, with around 800 factory sounds and a polyphony of 117 voices per system”. The Böhm Overture models allow the use of up to two AMADEUS modules, while the top models Sinfonia 500 or the Emporio 600 can fit up to six – in this case more than 700 polyphonic voices. AMADEUS can be enhanced with various sample/sound packets such as theatre organ, church organ or accordion sounds etc. As well as AMADEUS, all Böhm organs have real drawbars and a special sound system for them by the name of ‘EDS’ (embedded drawbar system). This system produces the original tonewheel sound using virtual technology (physical modelling). As all Böhm instruments are built to order, they have the flexibility to suit the customers individual desires, and offer differing wood or even high gloss finishes for their cabinets. The main dealership in England has now been taken on by Eric Reynolds Music Centre, 88 High Street, Burton upon Trent, Staffs, DE14 1LJ. The main contact is Mr. Rob Archer. Tel. 01283 565 869. Together with Reynolds Music Centre, Bohm will be attending both the OKC festivals in Seacroft and Blackpool. Here you will be able to see and hear the Böhm top organists, Mark Whale, DirkJan Ranzijn, Claus Riepe and Anthony Lomas in action on these fabulous instruments – a special musical experience that you should definitely not miss!

Bohm have a long tradition of manufacturing electronic organs in Germany. All of the present line of Böhm instruments have the newly developed AMADEUS tone generation /sound system – which Bohm claim offers “a wonderfully warm and full sound, with around 800 factory sounds and a polyphony of 117 voices per system”. The Böhm Overture models allow the use of up to two

SEACROFT OPEN DAY – advanced ticket sales only. Thursday May 2nd ONLY (no access on any other day)

Thursday is the day and Hembsy (just north of Great Yarmouth/Caister in Norfolk) is the place for our first open day at our new musical home by the sea. You will find a full programme of events and a map for the centre in the centre pages of this issue, day access is only available on the Thursday. It is residents only for any other day, but we have a great star cast for you to enjoy on Thursday - top names include Mike Hall, David Harrild, Peter Hayward, Chris Powell, Anthony Lomas and Claus Riepe, Dirkjan Ranzijn and a host of experts on the various exhibition stands.

We are also pleased to confirm a range of new products to be unveiled, you will find exciting new instruments on display from all the following (in alpha order) – Bohm, Korg, Lowrey, Orla, Roland, Yamaha, TRX and more – including at least two all-new never seen before product unveilings. As usual you can compare all the brands, get expert advice and benefit from very special show prices that you won’t get anywhere else.

Unlike Pontin’s the new day tickets do NOT include meals as the restaurant is fully committed to residents as we are pleased to say that the event is fully booked (bar late cancellation places which will inevitably become available). The price is £15 for the full day including all exhibitions and entertainment. As the Seacroft centre is right next door to the traditional seaside resort of Hembsy Beach, there are a range of places to eat right next door.

Tickets are only available in advance as we need to ensure we don’t exceed the capacity of the main theatre, so there will not be any on spec entry on the Thursday, or during the rest of the week.

All you need to do is pop us a cheque for £15 per person to the address on the front of the magazine and we will pop your day ticket back by post. As we get closer to the event you can also pay over the phone via a debit/credit card and we can reserve a ticket for your collection on arrival.
