Director of Sex Offending Services, Missouri Sex Offender Program: January 2006 –November 2007 Insure contract compliance between employer and Missouri Department of Correction (MDOC) using

state-level meetings with the MDOC Director of Mental Health and insured preparation for MDOC file audits.

Insure quality and documentation of treatment provision by insuring consistent contract compliance with the Missouri Department of Corrections for the Missouri Sex Offender Program.

Maintain a positive relationship with the MDOC contract auditor, based on contract compliance, sex offender tracking, participation as co-chair of a monthly meeting providing direction for Parole officers and Regional Providers, providing weekly scheduled program updates, providing real-time data as needed.

Insure program growth utilizing research to insure provision of evidenced-based treatment. Insure overall compliance with CMS/MHM (contracted employers), HIPPA, the State of Kansas

Revised Statutes and, the National Institute of Corrections. Provide oversight, insuring evidence-based programming of sentence-mandated sex offenders

based on offender dignity and staff respect. Provide oversight of sex offender programming, Sex Offender Assessment Unit, and the Sexually

Violent Predator (SVP) Assessment process. Provide supervision for the clinical director, caseworkers, and clerical staff. Create, initiate, review, provide feedback, and insure authenticity and accuracy of program

Continuous Quality Improvement studies insuring best practices in documentation, admission/discharge rates, records creation/maintenance, and program continuity.

Provide oversight insuring the handling of medical records, confidentiality, and program security. Provide review and documentation concerning offender’s release dates, SVP recommendations, and

offender grievances. Provide education concerning the Missouri Sex Offender Program and sex offending treatment to

state agencies and public organizations. Chair a week multi-disciplinary treatment team for offenders evidencing significant obstacles to

their treatment, providing clinical interventions, and determining their continuation in treatment. Act as liaison with Correction Center Superintendent, Custody Staff, the Parole and Probation Board,

Parole and Probation, and Community Provider Regional Managers.

Clinical Team Leader, 2/2001 - 1/2006 Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo (CMHiP): Colorado State Mental Hospital: Team Leader for the acute adolescent secure psychiatric unit, as well as a 90-day inpatient Co-Occurring Treatment Center (“The Circle Program”), and an acute-care unit (Ward 72 – which was closed due to budget cuts).

Responsible for and co-supervision (with Lead RN) of approximately 70 staff; responsible for their compliance with mandatory training, efficient scheduling, the use of vacation/sick/FMLA, meeting budgetary restrictions, and team morale.

CIRCLE PROGRAM: Responsible for the overall efficient, respectful and, compassionate delivery of clinical services; maintaining a safe physical environment; insuring that JCAHO and CMHiP policies, procedures and protocols met evaluative standards.

planning. Oversee supply procurement, facility maintenance and, budgetary compliance Monitor staff training & evaluation. Monitor, direct/educate staff, and mediate unit environment conducive and insuring all Patient

Rights. Participate in CMHiP improvement teams and committees. Promote treatment programs conducive to effectively changing behaviors and resulting in positive

consequences for the patients, patient’s families, and the community.

Clinical Supervisor : 9/1995 - 2/2001 El Pueblo - An Adolescent Treatment Center Pueblo, CO Responsible for the delivery of quality clinical services for approximately 60 adolescent clients

(male and female; Conduct Disorder and Sexual Offending within dormitory and cottage settings) by eight clinicians.

Provide clinical supervision for the clinical staff. Organize and facilitate monthly psychiatric reviews between a multi-disciplinary team and the

medical director. Monitor clinician vacation and sick time; Administer psychological assessments and maintain a
