The Department of Computer

Science and Engineering was formed in

the year 2010. The department has

started B.Tech Program with an initial

intake of 60 in the year 2010 and

increased to 120 in the year 2012 and

180 from 2019 onwards. The department

has also started M.Tech program with an

initial intake of 18 in the year 2012.

Department of CSE Recognized as

Research Center by JNTUK Kakinada for

the A.Y 2019-20 and 2020-21.

The department is accredited by

NBA in the year 2018 for a period of 3

years. The department has 30 qualified

teaching staff with 5 PhDs and 25

M.Techs. Our faculty members aim at

delivering top class education blending

their rich research experience with class

room teaching. The entire faculty is

involved in research activities and has

published/presented 200+ papers in

national/international journals and

conferences.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CSE

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the

year 2010. The department has started B.Tech. Program with an initial intake

of 60 in the year 2010 and increased to 120 in the year 2012, and 180 from the

year 2019 onwards. The department has also started M.Tech. program with an

initial intake of 18 in the year 2012. The department was accredited by NBA in

the year 2018.

The Department has excellent infra-structural facilities with well equipped

laboratories providing good teaching learning environment. The department

has ACM and CSI student chapters and number of events are being organized

in association with these chapters. The department offers various training

programs to students and faculty in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State

Skill Development Corporation. The Institute is recognized as a local chapter

for organizing NPTEL certification courses and number of students and faculty

have been certified in various courses. The department has entered into MOUs

with various IT industries and students are attending internships through

these industries.

The department organizes various training programs related to Technical skills,

Personality development and Soft skills to enhance employability skills that

lead to good number of placements in Multi National Companies. Our

department has an excellent placement record in various multinational

companies with good salary packages.

The faculty members are actively involved in research activities and

published/presented papers in National/ International journals and

Conferences.

Program Education Objectives (PEO's)

PEO 1 Graduates shall effectively apply their engineering knowledge

to analyze, design and develop software for contemporary problems.

PEO 2 Graduates utilize the knowledge of theoretical computer science to adept emerging technologies and tools for changing needs of industry.

1. KHIT CSI Student Chapter conducted a Seminar on Employability Skills on 20-01-2020

KHIT CSI student chapter has conducted a Seminar on Employability Skills on 20-01-2020. The seminar was

delivered by Mr Bharath, Mahindra Nandi Foundation, Hyderabad. About 100 students were present in this seminar.

Many students have got benefitted with this seminar. Dr Uma Shankara Reddy, Director, KHIT has appreciated

the speaker for his techniques presented in his seminar for the benefit of the students during interviews.

2. KHIT CSI Student Chapter conducted a FOOD Festival on 11-01-2020.

KHIT CSI student chapter has conducted a FOOD Festival on 11-01-2020. Various dishes were

prepared by the students and presented in the campus. The taste of south Indian food is reflected in

this festival. Students were encouraged to improve themselves along with studies in various

managing skills. Almost 52 stalls were held in the campus. Many students have got benefitted with

this festival.

3. A Seminar on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning is organized by KHIT CSI Student

Chapter on 31st January 2020.

PROGRAMMING event on 13th March 2020

KHIT CSI student chapter has conducted a technical quiz contest in programming on 13-03-2020.

The event was conducted by the CSI core team for the B.Tech CSE 2nd and 3rd Year students. About

73 participants were participated as 28 teams. Various technical questions were framed in different

programming languages such as C, C++, Java and Python. Round-1 and Round-2 were conducted

for short listing the teams to identify the winners of the quiz.

The students have gained the knowledge of programming by finding various tricky questions in

programming. The participants have given a very good feedback to conduct such events in the

department to strengthen the programming skills. Dr M.Umashakara Reddy, Director, KHIT and Dr

K V Subba Reddy, HOD, CSE, KHIT has presented the prizes to the winners and runners. Mr N Md

Jubair Basha, CSI student branch counselor was the event coordinator for this event.
