Student Mobilization Project through April 2

This project helps mobilize our students for missions and ministry, both around the world and here at home. Help us partner with students by following the directions below. All of the money raised in this special project will go towards our spring break mission trips, summer mission trips, Falls Creek student camp, and — new for Summer 2017 — Collegiate Camp at Glorieta, NM for our college students.

Dear church family, Just to reinforce the appeal from Sunday and to clarify some of the details of involvement for each church member, here are some things you can do to help the effort called Fiesta of Hope:

Pray. “Unless the Lord builds the house…” We know that this project is too big for us, and if God doesn’t bless it, it won’t work. We need lots of prayer for the blessing of God to fall on the Curtis Culwell Center on April 9. Please ask God to bless “our Samaria” as we take the gospel on a mission trip to our own back yard.

Like. Help us get a snowball effect going on social media. There is a Fiesta of Hope page on Facebook (and Instagram and Twitter). Would you “like” the FB page and invite your friends to “like” it as well? I’ve been going through all my friends and asking them to like this page, and I’m hoping with everyone’s help can get a snowball rolling that could turn into a snowstorm by April 9.

Share. Our creative team, led by our own Kamey Herpeche, puts out a daily Facebook update. Please like and share these pages and encourage your friends to also. This really helps us as no cost to get the word out about Fiesta of Hope.

Invite. In the Atrium, at the round table in the center, a supply of invitations, replenished each

week, patiently waits for you to pick up more. A great way to approach people is to say, “Excuse me, I’d like to invite you to come and bring your family to this event called Fiesta of Hope. It’s going to be exciting and I hope you can come.” Be ready for big smiles when you invite random people.

Bring. The best way invitations work is to pick up a friend and bring them with you to Fiesta of Hope. This may require crossing cultural lines, but let me tell you, you’ll be blessed. Latino people are amazing, and make some of the best friends you will ever know. Let’s all set the bar high and bring someone with us to Fiesta of Hope—someone unchurched who needs to hear the message. Some of you have asked about giving to the budget of Fiesta of Hope, and some have already given generously. We won’t take a special offering, and the church has made a generous contribution al-ready. But if you would like to help us reach our crusade budget, contributions can be made to His Mighty Hand Ministries LLC. Other churches and ministries have also made wonderful contributions, and the budget is coming along well, thank God. He supplies our needs to do His will. This exciting occasion will be a free event, but the venue will charge $10 per car for parking, which is out of our control. Thank you for getting excited, for getting behind Fiesta of Hope, and for getting involved. You are a wonderful church family. I know I tell you that a lot, but it’s true! Love in Christ, Chet Haney

How can I help? 1. Pick an envelope from the display in the atrium. Sunday

2. Envelope # indicates suggested donation amount (Envelope #28 is a $28 donation.)

3. Turn in your envelope and donation to a youth volunteer or nearby atrium money drop box.

4. Pray through August for the student in your envelope’s student profile.
