So what?
So what?So now that we are through with the credentials section we can now get down to the business of looking at “Bible translation in today’s world”.
ProlegomenaProlegomena simply means prefatory remarks. The Prolegomena of a systematic theology refers to the methodological questions generally found in the opening.
Romans 10:13-14“Anyone who calls on the Lord will be
saved. To call, they must believe. To believe, they must hear.
To hear, someone must tell them.…in a language they understand
well.
History of Bible translation
Jesus is “with us to the end of the age.”
He speaks to us through prayer. He speaks to us through the Bible. He speaks to us through our worship. He speaks to us through circumstances. He speaks to us through others.
He is living and will live in us if we let him.. . . . . “to the end of the age.”
Matt 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.“ NIV
