    rejected. Pseudonymous works were rejected.

    Turtullian reports of a Bishop who was removed formoffice because he wroteActs of Paul and Thecla.

    Serapion (A.D. 180), the Bishop of Antioch, rejected TheGospel of Peterbecause it was written pseudonymously.
