Bienvenidos a la clase de AP español
Sra. Broda
About the AP Spanish Course:
The College Board considers
the course to be equivalent to
a 5th or 6th semester
university class. Only AP
foreign language classes are
ranked this high.
What Can I Expect? (What’s in it for Me?
Students usually receive more college credit for AP foreign language scores than for any other subject area.
Also…
You will be able to receive significant college credit by taking this course, even if you don't score high on the test.
Some Important Things to Know:
1. I do not accept late work in an
AP class.
2. This class is not study hall. I will
throw away homework, books,
magazines, etc. if I see them out during
class.
3. You must speak to me in Spanish!
4. The class is conducted almost
entirely in Spanish.
About Your Teacher:
B.A. in Spanish, The College of Wooster
M.A. in Spanish Literature and
Culture, The University of Akron
M.A. in Education, The University of
Akron
I've taught at CHS for 16 years, and
AP all 16!
Before CHS, I was adjunct (fancy way
of saying a part-time peon) at The
College of Wooster and at the
University of Akron.
I am fair in my grading!
I live in Wooster with my husband
and dog, and I have one son and
daughter-in-law who are both
attorneys in Lexington, Kentucky
I had polio when I was a little girl, and
now I have to wear leg braces.
I can't tolerate intolerance!
• You are going to work really hard this year.
• You are going to learn A LOT this year.
• We are going to have fun while you do so.
¡Viva el español!
