Paradise, in Butte County, is located in the northwest foothills of California’s Central Valley
in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Paradise (population 26,000) is only 10 miles from Chico
and 87 miles from Sacramento; it is included in the Chico Metropolitan Area, which had a
