It is extremely helpful to us, to hear your views about our school. On the whole, the comments made by yourselves are very positive which is nice to hear and believe it or not, it is also nice to hear about ways in which we can do better – we are never too old to learn new things !! I have had to remove the odd one or two comments because they were personal to members of staff or other parents but they have been noted. The next BIG ASK will be in the summer term but I would like your help NOW … How …..? I would like to set up a little ‘Parents as Partners’ working group, which could meet once a half-term with me, to have an informal chat about some of the ideas in the ‘Big Ask’ and other ways in which we can make Cavell even better. (I did try last year but nobody turned up … I did go to my office and cry… but thought perhaps you didn’t know me very well… but there’s no excuse this time!!!) I’ve already had a number of parents who would like to come along but some more would be even better. I would be very happy for you to contact the school and let me know of a ‘good’ time that you would be able to meet – it could be after school, during the school day, before school starts just let me know what’s best for you …. Any comments about the ‘Big Ask’ results are gratefully received Simon Wakeman

Supporting families in their journey through life …

September 2010

Dear Parents,

FEEDBACK – ‘The BIG Ask’ You may remember last term that I asked if you would be kind enough to take some

time and fill in ‘The Big Ask’ questionnaire – many of you did and I would like to say thank you for doing so.

It is extremely helpful to us, to hear your views about our school. On the whole, the comments made by yourselves are very positive which is nice to hear and believe it

or not, it is also nice to hear about ways in which we can do better – we are never too old to learn new things !!

I have had to remove the odd one or two comments because they were personal to members of staff or other parents but they have been noted. The next BIG ASK will

be in the summer term but I would like your help NOW … How …..?

I would like to set up a little ‘Parents as Partners’ working group, which could meet once a half-term with me, to have an informal chat about some of the ideas in the ‘Big Ask’ and other ways in

which we can make Cavell even better. (I did try last year but nobody turned up … I did go to my office and cry… but thought

perhaps you didn’t know me very well… but there’s no excuse this time!!!) I’ve already had a number of parents who would like to

come along but some more would be

even better. I would be very happy for you to contact the school and let me know

of a ‘good’ time that you would be able to meet – it could be after school, during the school day, before school starts just let me know what’s best for you ….
