I hope everyone has a great Christ-
mas and New Year. We sure did
here at the of-fice! This year we re-ceived seven Christmas Hampers.
We had a successful 2007! We served 142 children and had 25 Big Brothers and Big Sis-ters, 29 In-School Mentors, 88 Teen In-School Mentors, 11 Board Members, and 25 Event Committee Members.
That is 178 volunteers making a difference in our community! Thank you to all of our won-
derful and dedicated volun-teers!
One thing to look forward to in 2008 is our Annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser. It will take place on March 30th, 2008 at Splitsville En-tertainment. Bowling is LOTS of fun, so I would like to encourage all of our matches to get involved and
enter a team. If you have any questions about the bowling event, or would like to know how
to get started, please call me at the office (756.2447). We would love to see all our matches at-tend this year!
Take care everyone!

We are so lucky to have Big Brothers Big Sisters chosen by one of the Leadership Nanaimo teams this year as their community project. The team is working diligently to get the word out to people in the mid-Island area that we need 80 Big Brothers, plus community support for our fundraising projects. The team will be working until the end of May, making presenta-tions to service clubs, businesses, and general groups. Their positive attitude and leadership skills are a huge asset to us.
Leadership Nanaimo Team!
A BIG thank you to Pam, Rachael, Sharon, and Cam for their amazing support.

The are many ways you can help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island. One way that is new to our agency is the Monthly Giving Program. We now have the capabilities of accepting automatic deposits. You can make a monthly do-nation that will help support our Mentoring Programs in Lady-smith, Nanaimo and Parksville. At the end of the year you will receive a Charitable Tax Receipt in the total of all your dona-tions made throughout the year. Please call our office (756.2447) for more information. You can make a BIG difference for a LITTLE each month.
